The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Cool!
I think I'll go the cheap route and get an F soprano....I'll just have to play an octave higher on some of the numbers.
I couldn't do much at work until my stupid samples finish running (half of them were done by the time I left) so I spent the morning looking for local jobs and the afternoon looking at real estate in Miami Co.

Hope you haven't answered this already...
1. 144, to match Bilbo's and Frodo's combined ages.
2. Farmer Maggot and his dogs.
3. The bottom floor, like hobbit rooms should be
4. Bombadil took a brooch for Goldberry and gave the hobbits swords.
5. Er... Gandalf?
6. Narsil, Elendil's sword, and Aiglos, Gil-galad's spear
7. Miruvor of Rivendell, and each had a mouthful.
8. He sang of the Elf-maid (Hmm. Can't remember how to spell her name. Named the river for her)
9. Eep. Must I answer all these? Frodo got the phial, and Sam the box. Merry and Pippin got belts, Gimli three hairs, Legolas a bow, Boromir a belt. I think Aragorn got a scabbard?
10. Tol Amon and Tol - rats.

Yippy Skippy! My new books came! The ones that were not to be released until May... Hell's Faire looks like great military SF, and the Laumer short stories are sure to be good too. Plus there's this CD in HF with, apparently, FREE books... I'm gonna check it out now!

Well I moved branches from the back yard to the road access...all that I could move and don't want for firewood anyway.
Tomorrow....side and front yard. Hope I don't run out of road access.

I'm back. I have to move wood out of my back yard tomorrow afternoon. Lots of it. I don't really mind the cut up tree trunk, it's all those little sticks that are all over the place. Bother.
