Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You know, of course, you have to share your results with the rest of us. You want to see his drawing of the attractive blonde lady, or the guy with the hairy butt?

Thanks very much. I was talking with a friend who just had her fifth, and she was saying what a sweet baby she was. I told her it was because SHE was more relaxed, so the baby would naturally be! Then I remembered that our 4th was just a dynamo; everywhere all at once! He was a sweet baby, but when he was a toddler, he would go 'walkabout' on our street. It is a cul de sac, so he was always safe because he NEVER went in the street, he'd just walk down to other folks' houses for a visit. We even installed extra locks on the storm door, which the little engineer was able to figure out in about 15 minutes!
At 13, he's STILL an engineer; loves rockets, robots etc., but still the sweetest thing!

Hey all, I'm back no rain to speak of.... just a little drizzle right after I left. I'm ready to kick back and relax now for the rest of the weekend. I've put 600 miles on my bike in the last 24 hours.

WB!
I'm cooking a mess of greens, watching the ballgame, freeping, and whistling.
To: SuziQ
SQ: thanks, forgot Liam was in it, he's a favorite of ours too.
To: Overtaxed
Which ballgame?
My parents are at one now. I wish I were!

Ah. That is the one my parents are at, naturally. It's a lovely stadium we've got, and a lovely city too!

Aw man. I want some greens. But not the ballgame. But yes to the freeping. And you wouldn't want me to participate in anything like whistling.
I'm just kicking back drinking some tea and thinking about fixing something to eat. Eventually I'm going to carry myself into the shower and get the road grime off. But, I gotta sit some more first.

I had some store-bought collards that needed fixing and I thinned out my turnips today. Supper's kind of late because I had pizza around 3:00> :)

Good evening all
Home after a long day of driving around. Went and looked at land, wasn't impressed by anything. All the sizeable land is well outside of Austin, and we're not really very interested in an even longer commute to and from work. Oh well, will have to wait and see what the realtor comes up with.
On the other hand, we walked through a sample of the home we're intending to purchase, and it is great! Very large and comfortable-feeling. Now we just need to find a place to put it....

I'm glad everybody's going back to grass and neo-classic baseball parks!
I've just about got "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" down. But with my luck, they'll play it in a different key.

Stay out of flood plains!
To: Overtaxed
All of the above sound good to me. A long days riding requires good food. Probably another ribeye if I had one around. But, I don't. Pizza would be good. That would deliver... but, it's the last half of the month so I better not.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Have you thought of going south of the river?
To: Wneighbor
Ribeyes! That reminds me...I need to pull that strip steak out of the freezer.
To: Overtaxed
So, when are you gonna fix it for me?
To: Wneighbor
Tomorrow afternoon.
