The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I was thinkin' maybe I'd put that post on my web page and see if y'all noticed I was gone.
To: JenB
Looks like. Maybe they found something better to do. :)

Wonder what all the other hobbitses are doing tonight. Dude we got two Dells today! Jr. has already set up his notebook and found the games. That thing is waaaaaay cool.
I'm resiting the urge to open the other one until I get the files cleaned off of this one which I plan to do tonite. So I'll be up late and will pop in here when I'm bored. I have to go by Comcast tomorrow morning anyway to get a new start-up disk to use our cable modem on the new one.
I've also been snappin' at some people on other threads.
I figger, we're at war, I don't have time for stupid people.

We could send the stoopid people out to be human shields somewhere. Of course there's always the mutant star goat.
To: Corin Stormhands
Well .....Basil Rathbone just bought it so I'll do the dishes now.
To: Overtaxed
Oh, thanks for spoiling the movie for me. Now I'll never watch it.
I'm gonna go reread Sluggy Freelance. It's been a whole year since I discovered the World's Greatest Webcomic.... can't believe I didn't get started until the Emergency Pants...

I was thinkin' maybe I'd put that post on my web page and see if y'all noticed I was gone. OKAY, but with a large family like this one it might be a few weeks before we notice anyone is missing. I recommend public tantrums to address greivances in situations like this!

How much RAM do those things have, Corin?
Just hung up with my twin brother, he used to be a forward observer for the Navy, attached to the Marines. He noticed his old unit is over there, wishes like hell he was with them, at the age of 54.
Meanwhile an old friend, 23 years old, of the family, from a couple blocks away, is with the 101st, not sure where they are at the moment. An embedded reporter let some of the guys use his sat phone the other day, he called his Mom from Karbala, told her he knows he is doing the right thing. His Mom is a wreck with worry, but proud.

To: JenB
Hey do you read Real Life Comics? They had funny ones yesterday and today.
To: SuziQ
We like that 5th Element movie pretty much too. I think we may own it.
I can't quite figure out the black guy, though.

I can't quite figure out the black guy, though.Ruby Rod is just wierd. There are parts of the film that he's in that I STILL censor for my kids! I just watch it with them and speed through it, or change channels for a few seconds.
