Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I am still waiting for those tickets to go on sale for the Sean Astin thing. Yesterday I called and talked to the Regal Cinemas Regional Manager! They are going to do it, but they still only have a small theater promised. Chances are they will get the big one... I just hope I be on the page and can buy the tickets in the 15 minutes from when they go on sale to when they sell out!

Other theaters in the area are adding TTT shows (which sell out in minutes to people thinking it is the right thing) to get the overflow. It is very confusing.

ROTK Reshoots, and King Kong Casting

Chris writes: New Zealand TV Guide had an article on the reshoots for ROTK. According to them they have it on good authority that it will be at the start of May and Viggo Mortneson let it slip in a recent interview that Sean Bean was coming back to do flashback scenes for the upcoming third film.

So, should I go ahead and plan to divide them? Just how far down should they be. And when do I feed them. I've read that you plant them so the base is 5 to 6 inches below the soil surface but I usually use the "plant at a depth = 2x bulb size" rule.

For fertilizer, use something with a 1:4:4 or 1:3:3 N:P:K ratio. I use "Bulb Tone." I suppose you could still broadcast lightly around them now, although you're supposed to do that when the leaves first come up (don't get fertilizer on the leaves! It will burn them.) When you move them, work fertilizer in the bed or put fertilizer in the hole and mix with dirt before putting the bulb in. The instructions on the fertilizer bag should tell you how much, but I used about a teaspoon of fertilizer for each when I planted lilies.

Heh. Heh. I was once President of our kids' school Parent Assn. The former Pres. of the Parish Council was this ass of a guy who used to call his wife "The wife", even in her presence! I got into it on the phone with him one night because he was arguing about something about which he was wrong and I knew it. He yelled and screamed at me, at which point I verbally eviscerated him and hung up. SSQ walked in, startled and asked what that was about. I told him, and he said "I'm gonna call him back right now!", I said "No you're not, I've already handled it." He just laughed and walked away.

I'm a sweet gal, but that guy learned that night that he'd better not DARE treat me like I'm some sort of stupid idiot, cause he got his head handed to him on a platter!

He called back about 30 mins. later to tell me that he realized I was right. Heh. Heh.
