Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The stuff I planted a week or so are coming up: radishes, lettuce, turnips, and spinach. The ground is so wet I can't get in the garden to do anything! The rhubarb I have in a pot is coming up. I see a pie in the future. It looks like the lemon balm will make a run on the back yard this summer.

I did frittata: sauteed (@#$% french terms!) onion, green pepper, and mushrooms, poured scrambled eggs over it, and covered until cooked.

I heard about that picture of the Iraqi soldier being given water. Apparently some jerk from the NY Times saw it and was incensed that that American soldier was FORCING that Iraqi to drink water! I had also read about the previous one, that US Military medics were treating the Iraqi solders hurt in the battle.

Here I am!
I've been running around like a nut these last few weeks. Between the new job, potty training, battling liberals on projo.com, attending a counter-rally in Providence on Thursday, and keeping up with the war coverage, I've hardly been able to breathe!
I miss you all terribly, and promise that I'll stop in more frequently. (I need to set more Outlook reminders! lol)
In addition, there's been some "unexpected, but most certainly welcome" news at my house! I won't go into details yet, given what happened before, but I ask for your prayers. We're just not ready to let the cat out of the bag...I know some of you know full well what I'm referring to...and yes, you're right! *big grins*
But, until at least another month goes by, I'll have to "keep it secret...keep it safe."
