Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I already gave him some Advil, though...just nowWell, GIRL! I thought you, as a nurse, would already know that! LOL! It's a trick I learned long ago with our first! I went through MANY vacinnations with four kids!
To: SuziQ

I bet he thinks he had a point! I think he did have a point. But he chose a very wrong way to make it.

Relative of yours? Only by marriage.
To: Corin Stormhands
My mom just emailed me saying "Started". What's going on?

Apparently there's some fighting going on near one of the ports. Supposedly to make way for the landing forces (or something like that). There's a thread in Breaking News.
To: 2Jedismom
Oh there are reports that the war has started. There is a scuffle this morning and some bombs being dropped (ours) now on the Kuwaiti border ... and a story in breaking news here proclaiming the war to have begun, but I think these are the rumblings of positioning.
I think when it starts, we will all hear it. I don't think Dubya is planning a stealth war.

What was it? Basically that he's caught between the government subsidizing tobacco and the government fleecing the big tobacco companies. It's very hypocritical.
What the anti-smoking nazis have failed to consider is what destruction of the tobacco market will do to the economy, including farmers like this guy. My parents worked for decades in a factory that made the product for cigarette filters. That plant employed 3,000 people in my home county - population 17,000.

I'd be disowned!!

Maybe we can make rope out of it. Or clothes!
I don't even know what a tobacco field looks like. I have never crossed the Mason Dixon line! - (Only been across the Mississippi once!)

I am thinking that advil is somewhat hard on the liver compared to tylenol. 'Course I am not much of an expert.
To: Sam Cree
I think it is more of a problem when people like me take 150% of the recommended dosage! ;~D
If two is good three is better!
