Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

In other news.....drumroll please....40 lbs.Way to go, Master Dwarf!!! We'll have a hard time recognizing you at Entmoot based on the pictures we saw at Christmas.
I'm back to 22 lbs. lost; had gained some during Christmas and January, but am now back to what I was Christmas Eve. I went to my Hydrobics class yesterday and noticed that my swimsuit was actually LOOSE! I'll have to go the the smaller size I'd ordered and have been waiting to be able to wear. Woo Hoo!!

Well if those nuts are for lowering taxes, I am with them on that part, the Grange ought to be also.

Hey guys, I just wanted you to see ksen's page. Let's go back over there and not drag it into the Hobbit Hole.
Folks here aren't always comfortable with news of the outside world...

We'll have a hard time recognizing you at Entmoot based on the pictures we saw at Christmas. I certainly hope so.

I got the labels!! They look great, Bear and will fit right in the inside of the paperbacks perfectly!
When I get the new ones set up, I'll take a picture and post it.
Joshua just got home from getting his shots...hurt him this time and he was very upset. We're just going to rest today, I think...maybe drive out to Sams later to price things.

Moonpies, slim jims, all kinds of good things!I just had my sister in MS send me some doubledecker Moonpies for our "Grits and Magnolias" party. She got me a dozen each Chocolate and Banana as well as a box of Jim Dandy Grits! She even included a little ziploc bag of Spanish Moss from our Fish Camp. It will be a great 'touch of home' for the party!

I went to my Hydrobics class yesterday and noticed that my swimsuit was actually LOOSE! I'll have to go the the smaller size I'd ordered and have been waiting to be able to wear. Woo Hoo!! I'm already down to my old one, and it's loose. The other morning I didn't tie the draw string tight enough. By the end of the first length it was halfway down my butt...
I felt like a Gondorian...

Joshua just got home from getting his shots...hurt him this time and he was very upset.Did you give him some Children's Tylenol before you went to the Dr.? I always did that. Now, the kids take an Advil before going to the Orthodontist; gets it working before they actually need it then takes the edge off the pain.

The other morning I didn't tie the draw string tight enough. By the end of the first length it was halfway down my butt... We might need to monitor the Richmond papers for the headline "Dwarf arrested for 'Flashing' at local Health Club"!
To: SuziQ
No, I didn't...I wish I had!! GROAN!! I wish you lived here with me to remind me of stuff like that!
I already gave him some Advil, though...just now.

Relative of yours?
East Texas man moons courtroom
03/19/2003
Associated Press
ATHENS, Texas - An additional six months were tacked onto an East Texas man's eight-year sentence for aggravated assault after he mooned a district judge.
Judge Jim Parsons held 40-year-old Ray Mason in contempt of court Monday after the Kemp man dropped his pants and showed Parsons and then the rest of the court his backside.
"He said something like, 'Hey, judge, look at this," Assistant District Attorney Barry Spencer recalled. About 70 other people were in the courtroom at the time, Spencer said.
"I've been practicing criminal law for well over 20 years, and I've seen a lot of things," said Mason's defense attorney John Sickel. "This is the first time anything like that has happened."
Mason had pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to eight years in prison just before the incident, the Athens Daily Review reported in Wednesday's editions

Ha!! I used to live in Tyler...which is right next to Athens.
Athens was a bit of rough place, actually...high crime for a small town.
