Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Sigh... awards shows. How fun. Why do we care what wackos think, anyway?

They're on tomorrow night either on TNT or TBS. They've been advertising them all week, and I just never got around to checking whether or not we got a nomination until just now.

Hair loves a circus...that's her excuse.;)
I haven't figured out mine yet, but I probably won't have time to watch tomorrow night anyway.
To: Penny1; JenB
Well some of us might be available to chat-view! wonder if it is simulcast, or if it will be playing here three hours behind.

You'll get suds on your C drive. *wink* I don't have a "C drive" per se. Track pad does work well with pruney fingers, tho...

Yup, Big'ol and I can tote our matching laptops all over the place. I'm sure I'll have mine in the kitchen tomorrow pulling in recipes. What 'kind' of wireless do you have? Ours is an Airport, 54mbps or something like that. Very fast. Very sweeeeeeet.

Ours is, I think, a D-Link AIRLAN. Hooked up to our cable modem. Even with three people playing EverQuest and me doing high-bandwidth surfing, it screams!

Haven't played Everquest yet, but my brother and his wife love it. I'm still old school and ocassionally log onto my old MUD. Nothing like a little hack and slash.

Well, EQ can, I understand, be highly addictive. FR is enough for me!

I guess I'm old school, too. I have a version of the old "Moria" on my Palm, only this time it's in color. And a decent solitaire game, with which I have already played 27,000 hands.
To: Penny1
LOTR got a "best cast" nomination for the SAG's for TTTI kind of like that. It was really an ensemble type movie, anyway!
To: Lil'freeper

To: SuziQ
Yes, I like it too. We got the nomination last year, and I was surprised to get it the second year in a row. It's very appropriate for LOTR because each main character is so vital to the story it is impossible to name one a lead over another.
