Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I just got back a copy of a document that was approved weeks ago. I sent it down stairs for the boss to sign the distribution memo. He made MORE changes in the document, and he didn't sign the memo.

Of course copies of everything (but the Memo) are already done.

Morning everyone.

No word from or about Michelle yet. I'm sick over this! Where on earth could she be and what the blazes is she thinking!!??? Grrrrr....

Anyway...*deep breath*, I am making breakfast today because I simply must stay focused on my routines and not get completely distracted by all that is going on since it is out of my power anyway. SO there! :P

Flapjacks with maple syrup, 3 platters of nice, crispy bacon and juicy sausages (with sliced to-mah-toes), crispy fried hash browns and a large pan of scrmmbled eggs. Got some nice chunks of different kinds of American-made cheeses and lovely fresh rolls, muffins and breads on the sideboard. Coffee (more like tar) is ready and juices ar ein the icebox. ENJOY!

I know! That's why I called the cops. I figured the guy was probably on the up and up, but still ought to be checked out.

Steve brought the pamphlet in last night when he came home...I never did open the door. It did have a phone number on it. He sat it down on the table and it's not there this morning, so I imagine someone is going to get a tongue-lashing.

Supposedly the JWs that came to my door just live on the next street over. I talked him out of going and having a word with them! He was really angry about them coming here during the day when likely the only people that might be home are the elderly or stay-at-home moms.

Really, we just don't like people coming to our door that we don't know. Period.

I don't know, but the same thing seems to have afflicted a major portion of the Muslim religion.

I was just thinking about it while jogging. If I understand maturity at all, from my 54 years, which I probably don't, those people are totally lacking in it.

I figure that what might be important to a thoughtful person, as they go through life, could be the part they play in eternity, through their marriage, creation and raising of children, if they are lucky enough to have been blessed with a family, and additionally, whatever other contribution or part they may play in the timeless cycle of life, death, cosmos, joy, sorrow, God and love.

I am not getting this across that well, but hopefully am hitting somewhere in the vicinity.

But these Islamists seem to me more like evil, twisted, stunted children, with their one dimensional view of religion and their unspeakable, shallow, vacant dreams of glory, hatred and death.

I am a little stunned that so much of the world is ready to either tolerate or champion it, for seemingly trivial reasons. The Democrats, for one.

Tell him to click on "My Comments" even if it doesn't light up like it should. Mine does not light up with "New Comments to you" anymore. I don't know why. New comments are there, but I have to go there to see them.

Also let him know that the new stuff is a different color than the old stuff (According to what his colors and fonts are set at)

I dunno Ruthy. What I wonder is how the heck did we make it thru? I told Jr. last night that I know things suck right now, and that I know that he has even more challenges than I did at that age.

What gets me is that he's doing this crap to himself. He knows better. He can do better. But he's choosing not to. I told him last night that we knew that socially and emotionally he could not handle going through 8th grade again at the same school.

Still praying for Michelle. I hope you hear good news soon.
