The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

LOL! Leave it to you to make me laugh in spite of myself. :)

By the way, and as long as we're talking, what was it exactly about that scene the movie that you didn't like? Beats me! I'm sure we'll bring it up again tho...

the icicle would, as kitty walked around the house in a dignified manner, be hanging decoratively out the other end of the cat from which it was ingested.Thank you for making me laugh out loud, I needed it! :)

I meant to ask them, but I was a bit preoccupied with them trying and trying on my right arm and NOTHING. That's happened before, so it's nothing new, but it still hurts just as much. Then they finally went to my left arm and got it on the first try.
Then for the first time in my life I was light headed and had to sit for a while. That was new.
Thank God that's over with!

I didn't see Leno because I don't like Leno and don't watch him (Conan beats all of them combined!) but I do like Spade. He's funny. I love his character on Just Shoot Me.
To: Sam Cree
I have tried my best to relate this anecdote in a polite manner, maybe it should have been addressed to a dwarf, though. From dry air to tinselled cat butts in one post...are you SURE you aren't a dwarf, Sam? ;-)
Seriesly, tho, I worry about my cats and dog with the newer stuff - that and Easter grass. I get the paper Easter grass if I get any...it's more expensive, but the other stuff can kill if they eat it and get it twisted up inside.
To: Dawntreader
(Conan beats all of them combined!) Admit it, a big part of that is because he's adorable. Am I right, or am I right?
Bad Dawn! Bad!

David Spade did the voice to the main character in a cartoon movie I really like: "The Emperor's New Groove". It's a stupid movie (by D*sney, at that), but completely cracks me up. He plays a spoiled brat of a prince who gets turned into a llama.
To: Dawntreader
I know what you mean...I rarely watch any of them...
But as I was flipping through, I saw this guy and he was just a hoot. You got the impression that he thought his fellow actors were a bunch of idiots, without coming right out and saying so.
To: RMDupree
Prayers going up right now, Ruthy!

Of course that's PART of it LOL. But he is DANG funny. I just love his style of humor.
And I LOVE The Emperor's Groove! I avoided seeing it for ages because I thought it looked dumb, but it is FUNNY!

But it's the static that gets to me! Ugh!I have to 'ground' myself if I walk across carpet to kiss Sir SuziQ when he comes home from work, or to turn on light switch; I ALWAYS slap the wall first to discharge the static electricity!
We used to have a humidifier on our furnace, but the water in our town is so full of minerals, it was impossible to keep it clean. Now we just keep a big pot of water heating on the stove downstairs, and we bought a couple of large slow cookers that we keep filled in the hall and in our room upstairs. We get bad headaches from dry sinuses if we don't keep some moisture in the house!

Don't forget to catch up on the 45,000 or so posts from the previous two Hobbit Holes.
