The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I planned on going to my mom's for lunch, then swinging by the post office and seeing if my piccolo head had arrived. But the garage door was stuck again! I stuffed salt around it and it finally came apart, with much pulling and moaning. I think I'll just wait till Steve gets home from work to check my mail.
I finally got my audiocassette album I won Ebay...the guy told me he sent it on the 29th of Jan and that's just exactly what the post mark said. Wow...that's a long time!

But the garage door was stuck again! Could you just pour hot water to melt the stuck parts? I just got back from a trash/gas/groceries run.

Hi all. I had a really, really long day. 11+ hours at work! And we're having difficulties with extended family, ugh. At least.... er, no. There's really nothing I'm happy about right now. I'm just tired.
Corin, what's with the tag? Siding with one of the other sides in the Crusades, or just a matter of justice? and how'd drstevej get banned, anyway?

Corin, what's with the tag? drstevej was banned because a certain sect-who-shall-not-be-named (but they're really good with names...) got offended because he challenged them. They've been getting threads pulled left and right.
To: Corin Stormhands
Ah... a sect that is, perhaps, less than standard Christianity? The kind that could unite Calvinists and Arminians, Catholics and Protestants and insert-ethnicity-here Orthodox?

Good evening everyone...
We're actually getting some "winter" weather here in Austin: sleet and freezing rain. Driving Rose home from work was a bit nerve-wracking, but we made it safely. Unfortunately, the weather weenies totally missed the possibility of this nasty turn until late this afternoon, so we didn't have a chance to stock up on necessities, but we're pretty well provisioned.
For the ladies... I got a catalog from Advanced Graphics in the mail today. Advanced Graphics is the company that makes life size standees. If you recall, they produced a set of LOTR figures (Hair has the Frodo figure) including one of Legolas and Gimli together. Well, they must have had a lot of requests or something (go figure) because they've added one of Legolas by himself. It looks like the same pose as the standee with Gimli, just without Gimli in front of him.
Oh, they have a Talking Jar-Jar Binks standee too, with a battery-powered voice chip. Just in case y'all were curious!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Cool! - I shall be on the lookout for that Legolas standee then!
