Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It is the video commercials for Volvo in between the trailers that bother me. Ours run the commercials first, then the trailers. But they're still a pain.

I still think the previews are the bigger pain.That's the trouble with getting to the theater early to get good seats. At all three showings I've been to for TTT, I had to sit through the trailers for "Bruce Almighty" ("Do my boobs look bigger to you?"), "Dumb and Dumberer", and that one about Luke Wilson finding his wife in a menage a trois and ending up with some old college buddies creating a new fraternity. Those actually made the trailer for the new Vin Diesel movie look intelligent!!

Corin - those coughs are awful aren't they? Becky coughs and coughs until she gags, it's horrible! I hope the meds do the trick tonight.

Mom used to make homemade peanut butter cups, too...melt chocolate and put one layer down in a pan, then a layer of peanut butter stuff, and more chocolate on top. Wayyyy higher in fat and calories than the usual, I'm sure. But very, very good! We'd chill the stuff and then break it into chunks.
