Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Can I introduce him to my juvenile delinquent? They'd probably get along great! Didn't you say your son was into making movies? We had gotten Joseph a Lego Mindstorms set a few years ago when he first got into the Robotics program. We got him a little camera to go with the set, and he decided to do some stop action stuff. He made a great little movie with his Legos that they showed at one of the big Robotics competitions here in Central MA. The theme of the movie was the same as the competition. The boys from the Tech high school that was sponsoring the meet were really impressed with it!

Well, I've succeeded in trashing all her self-pity threads! Hehehe...look for opportunities to do the same to that Dale guy's threads.

Didn't you say your son was into making movies? Yeah. Although he still can't grasp the action/consequences concept. He'll complain that his camera isn't doing what he wants. I'll ask "have you read the manual." Of course he hasn't.
We met with the director of the communications dept. at our college last week (they have an excellent program). He recommended a Mac for editing the movies. So, that's on his wish-list now. He's hoping to work part-time this summer and put some money towards it.
And he's really not a JD. He's just 13 and very not-focused.

Well, I've been devious enough at C and F this morning...gotta take Joshua to the doctor. See you all later.
