The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Vim, I think he'd like to have someone tend the place who will actually *move out* when the time comes to leave!

Joshua came in here, had three socks with Hot Wheels in each one. He told me to pick a sock and if I got the sock with the coolest Hot Wheel, I win. So I picked a sock and he looked in and said "You win! Here's your prize!" and he handed me a single piece of packing popcorn.

I'm all caught up now. And home for the morning with a sick daughter. Grandparents take over at 11:30, I'm going to go shovel some snow and take some pics. Might have to learn about that York photo deal.... How easy is it to upload the photos? Do I have to have an FTP program or anything?

I've got a program I want to put him in this summer through my work. It would be a very good experience. But if we have to do summer school that's out the window.Have you told Jr. about this program? Maybe it would be a catalyst to get him to at least pull through for the 8th gr. If you decide to homeschool him for the remainder of 8th gr., you can extend that work into the summer, so that he doesn't have to be rushed to finish it all by the middle of June.
Our homeschool year is just that, all year. We go at a leisurly pace (at least I do), and we plan it so they need to be finished with their stuff by the end of August. The new year starts Sept. 1.

Yes, they have a nifty program where you can download multiple photos at once, or they have a regular website where you can download, what? 15 at a time?
I like it.

Are you watching the service at National Cathedral? Patti LaBelle is singing a song she wrote about the space program.... some time ago I guess, not for this tragedy.
Pray she gets through it. She choked up before she started.... She is holding it together so far.
To: g'nad; rightwingreligiousfanatic
g'nad! You can't shoot Vim!
To: 2Jedismom

I'll only maim him a little... if he doesn't leave peaceful like... but being a dwarf, I'm sure my brother Vim wouldn't dream of pullin' an elvish stunt like that...
