Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OK, I have calmed down. Avoiding the news side for several hours has done the trick. The antihistamines have helped too... I'm almost asleep on my feet.

I have been battling myself a bit today, and I didn't win, just wore myself out.
I think I need to go relax and perhaps find a movie that is nice and wholesome to feed my spirit a little.

Apparently some "liberal" women are flying to Baghdad to let Saddam know that some American women are against removing him by force.
I guess they are not clued in to the fact that Islam does not seem to have the same regard for women as Gloria Steinenm (or whatever her name is). Though, come to think of it, I don't really believe feminists have high regard for ladies.
That quote did look delightfully ridiculous paired with a remark about Sam and Gimli.
