Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That Jessie K is really mental, I think...she spits apparently now and then, then when she returns, everyone makes a big deal and fawns all over her...the she goes around insulting people, now, she's split again. One weird mental person.

I want...
I LOVE that adaptation! They did such a good job...and Colin Firth is adorable in it!

"Awww....c'mon! Someone has to tell him the truth sooner or later. "And when you do, be sure to tell us about it! ;-)

I fell in love with him when I saw that movie! Did you see him in Bridget Jones's Diary? He played a wonderful character in that movie too!
To: Dawntreader
Haven't seen that one...wasn't sure if it was something I could watch with younger siblings, so I haven't rented it yet.
However, I will soon be buying "The Importance of Being Earnest". If you like Colin Firth and British comedy, you must, must, MUST see that movie.
To: Dawntreader
I don't post over there that often so I don't know if the truth from me would have the same effect as it would if it came from 2J.
To: Dawntreader
I'm sure if I ever do, it'll be my opus. And since I don't ever write opus's, I doubt I ever will.
But it's been my experience that when people know you are disgusted by them, but you never openly say so, that it is even more disconcerting to them. How to they fight with someone like that? If he attacks, like he did with the haiku situation, he comes out looking like a fool.

I've already proven I'm smarter and wittier than he, and I'm sure I'm a thorn in his side.
What else could be better?

Oh gosh...I haven't seen that movie yet! I want too..I'm sure I'll love it.
And no, Bridget Jones isn't a movie for younger ones! Good judgement call!

Oh gosh...I haven't seen that movie yet! I want too..I'm sure I'll love it.Let me know when you do! Lots of good quotes in it, which is pretty understandable given that it's an adaptation of a play.
Oh...and he plays guitar (really) and sings in it. Not wonderfully, but hey, that's part of the charm!
Maybe one of these weekends I'll find a few hours to watch Bridget Jones...

And now for something completely unrelated:
I've managed to kill three threads today! I'm so proud.

...back to work.

I would be better served making cakes in a jelly roll pan!I found a cupcake pan that has very shallow pans. It makes cupcake TOPS only! So you get these really short cupcakes that you can frost. That way the kids eat the whole thing!

ROFLOL!! I get such a kick out of these guys...Aren't we fortunate to have them home so we can share those bursts of insight!
To: Lil'freeper
LOL!! I've done that here a couple of times! I hate that "dangling" feeling. I don't know how else to describe it!
To: Overtaxed
I still like the Lego "Holy Grail"."We're Knights of the Round Table.."
To: SuziQ
That's it...it will be stuck in my head now LOL.
