Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My Dixon is a tweeked one...remember, someone sent me a free one? Well, the tweek ruined it and it doesn't work at all...I'm thinking I could get another head for it, but why? I have a million D whistles (well, a lot anyway) and a piccolo would be novel. I played the flute a long time ago and I think it would be fun.

The president of the community college where I take art classes has decided he wants a 4'x4' painting to cover an electric box or something in his office.
Everyone in class has been given the assignment of submitting a small color drawing, as I guess they are going to save money, as they should, and have the students make the art.
Parameters are no nudity, no politics, except "diversity," whatever they think that means, which they actively want.
I am kind of stumped on this, so if you guys have any ideas for subject matter, I can use the help :-X

Heheheh. I'd do something with the Founding Fathers... Franklin, Madison, etc.. (It's not politics, it's history! Right?)
Speaking of which, I need to pick y'all's (sic) brains for a minute. I'm looking for a quote about 'true democracies meeting a firey end' and I thought I knew where it was. I looked in Federalist #10, but it's not there. Would be someone like Madison, Hamilton, Jefferson, etc. Ack!!

LOL I have to be somewhat careful though...the guy owns the website and message board. People just fall all over themselves over him and it's just disgusting. I think I say loads more in my silence, especially on the "Isn't Dale the Greatest" threads.
He makes me want to barf. And I think he knows it. But he can't ban me because I've never actually said anything nasty to him.
It's all delightfully passive agressive, as I'm sure he'd put it. He's a psychologist.

It's not like I'm not pretty happy with my life as it is...I'm not "incomplete" because I'm not married. Just would like that at some point!

But he irritated me even before I realized he was a psycho...the "peace protests with his daughter" and such. Then posting that about Bush and that tee-shirt brought out the absolute disdain in me.
Finding out he was a psycho only clarified my postition.
