Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Though I guess it was even worse when my brother threw his friends' cat in the freezer after our dogs had killed it. When they asked for their cat, he said "Sure, I have it, it's right here..." EEK! That must have went over like a wet brick!

Here's some hot tea, a heating pad and some nice thick socks! Hope you feel better!
Corin - LOL! TMI, indeed! But it is a monthly suffering we women must endure. Surely, you wouldn't begrudge us a little moral support now and again? *grin*

But it is a monthly suffering we women must endure. I think the married men here might disagree on who does the "enduring."

Two friends lived next door to each other, one had a pet white rabbit that she adored.
The other had a dog.
One day, to her horror, the woman with the dog saw her dog come from the neighbor's with the rabbit in its mouth. It was dead.
She was mortified.
She couldn't imagine facing her friend and telling her that her dog had killed the rabbit.
She looked at the rabbit. It was a mess. Filthy dirty.
She took it inside and bathed it, brushed it and blow dried it until it looked as good as a dead rabbit can.
"I will put it back in the cage" she thought. "Let her think it just died peacefully in it's sleep. That is better."
That evening when her friend got home, She heard her friend scream. She rushed over to comfort her friend about the death of the rabbit.
"Oh - I am sorry, your rabbit has died" she said with all empathy.
"That isn't why I am screaming. The rabbit died three days ago. I buried it in the back yard. Some sicko dug it up and put it back in the cage!"

I think the married men here might disagree on who does the "enduring." hehehehe - I can appreciate that sentiment.
