New Line Cinema is teaming with DC Comics to create a movie based on the classic comic book Shazam!, Variety reported. New Line is in final negotiations with DC to acquire feature rights to the 60-year-old title, in which mild-mannered Billy Batson discovers that he can call on the powers of an ancient Egyptian wizard, Shazam, the trade paper reported.
Michael Uslan, who executive produced the Batman franchise for New Line's sister studio, Warner Brothers, will serve as executive producer on Shazam!, the trade paper reported.
It only took 17 years but *SHAZAM* , they did do it right. Great movie and really funny!
