Threads getting pulled from Nes/Acrivisiom (serious question)<p>

For reasons I truly not do understand, a number of threads I posted to tonight to got pulled from News / Activision.

Now, that's okay. It isn't my board. As far as I'm concerned, J&J can run it however they want.

I would, however, like to know what the rules are.

It is very annoying to spend fifteen minutes writing what you think will be an accepable post, only to go back and find that the entire thread has been yanked.

There was *nothing* about any of those (the threads) that I thought was least bit objectionable. They were on some related topic and they were not offensive. But maybe I missed something.

Still, I go back to try to look at them and now they are gone. Without any reason being cited.

How can they take out your thread if you haven't posted it yet?

I *think* either an entire tread of messages can be deleted or just an individual post. If the thread is off-topic or offensive, they can take it all out. If it's just the one post, then they can just knock out the one post.

In either case, they are apparently supposed to give a reason. They have not been doing so. The thread has simply been deleted when I tried to go back to it.

Neither of those first two ideas appeared to apply in this case, and it happened to me about three times tonight.

But, like I said, maybe I missed something.

I never use keywords. Article searches on the title will
always work, though.

I have searched EXACT title- cut n pasted, no hits, I even scroll down nothing even like it, then I post the thread and WHAM no more thread!

So I think the keyword thang is it, it was for me on old FR as well...Who knows?

Any chance that you could fix the Preview function so that when we post new articles we can preview the headers? As it is right now, when we preview a new article, all we can see is the "Body of Thread" section and not the title, author, date, etc. That's why we keep ending up with crap titles like the one on this thread (Threads getting pulled from Nes/Acrivisiom).

Are you getting the message "this thread has been deleted" or are you getting messages that say "this thread has been moved to chat" or are you getting messages that say "This thread is locked for the following reasons:"

I'm pretty sure it is: "This thread has been deleted." No reason given. Last night it was, anyway.

It was definitely not just my message. I had't even posted that by that point. The entire thread was gone. And the thread wasn't just moved, it was GONE.

I don't know why. They were all politically-oriented threads and none of them were improper. Still, it happened about three times. A reason was never cited -- the thread was just gone when I went back to post.

There was probably a reason. I just never saw what it was.

I suppose it could have some kind of computer glitch, but it did seem like that.
