For reasons I truly not do understand, a number of threads I posted to tonight to got pulled from News / Activision.
Now, that's okay. It isn't my board. As far as I'm concerned, J&J can run it however they want.
I would, however, like to know what the rules are.
It is very annoying to spend fifteen minutes writing what you think will be an accepable post, only to go back and find that the entire thread has been yanked.
There was *nothing* about any of those (the threads) that I thought was least bit objectionable. They were on some related topic and they were not offensive. But maybe I missed something.
Still, I go back to try to look at them and now they are gone. Without any reason being cited.

An overzealous moderator tonight? I don't know.
It's sorta like that.
But if they just took out my one message, it would be easier to understand. Taking out the entire thread gets a bit more confusing -- especially when they do it before I have even posted yet.
Did Activision make any games for the NES? I'm more of a playstation person.
How can they take out your thread if you haven't posted it yet?
Usually, they will delete duplicate threads. Are you posting articles, or personal screeds?

I have searched before posting an article I take the time to post it correctly using keywords and all that jazz. I post it, then JUST when the coversation gets good.
It was pulled by the sidebar,centerbar,backwardsbar moderator person stating IT IS A DUPLICATE. EVERY time I then check the other first posted thread and it was posted with no keywords therefore making folks like me who actually search before posting think it has not been posted.
I don't care if people live to post on FR 24/7 let them post first,but for the love of God PLEASE post the article correctly, putting the threads title in keywords and putting commas in the sentence; THEN I can find it when I search to see if the article has already been posted.

P.S.-I wonder if sidebar moderators know what it feels like to take time and post an article correctly then JUST when you are rolling along in good conversation you receive a freaky odd feeling message in self search that like it is like God pulls the thread AND YOU ARE FINITO TO EXPLAIN YOU DID POST RIGHT AND SEARCH- all awhile knowing you did do a search to no avail but the other article did not show up because of no keywords or different (made up) title. Some people value their time and don't live on here to be the star of the day and post.
So remove KEYWORDS in posting an article cause many are so anxious to post first, they don't use it.
I guess I lied about the rant being turned off... SORRY!
