In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I like this writer. Talk about hitting the nail on the head.
Hatred rules all here
No law, no hope, no future
Racial Cynosure
The NERVE of Nelson Mandela (by African American Psychologist)
Todd Gaziano, director of the Heritage Foundation legal and judicial studies department, said allowing inmates and felons to vote dilutes the vote of law-abiding citizens. "It helps prevent dilution of the vote of law-abiding citizens who are in high-crime neighborhoods where law enforcement issues are of a particular importance," he said. "It's part of the original punishment. It's not arbitrary. It's on the books."
Even my kids know there are consequences for actions. YOU SHOULDA THOUGHTA THAT, is a common refrain at the xshouse.

I cant believe I live in a State, and by extension we live in a Country where people are so bereft of common decency, and Honor, that 1. The democratic party thought they could slide Torriscumbag in, because there was a (d) next to his name, 2. Where the Governor of the State, puts party ahead of Gubernatorial responsibility, by helping the Party through the use of his office, try to negate the mistake they made, by not living up to their responsibility to the voters in the first place. 3. where the State Attorney general follows suit, and ORDERS county clerks across the state to suspend Ballot preperation, on the stretgnth of a letter from Torricelli. 4.Where the news media is already beginning to excoriate the Republicans, claiming that BOTH major parties should be represented at Election Day, as if it is their fault the Dummycrats are slated a piss poor candidate 5. That the average Voter is stupid enough to buy into it, and also not be outraged at the governors conduct. 6. That the Governor now elected seems to feel he only represents a small segment of the people of New Jersey, (namely those taken in by the DNC, to support Torricelli) and Not all the people, which would mandate a more neutral position.
I have never been so disgusted in all my life. This is on a par with Slick willie. At least he went before the Polls.
It's going to be a bloody battle in NJ.
Judge Napolitano, (Who served in NJ) confirmed my reading of the Law, on the point.
They are legally disallowed to cange the ballot inside of 51 days.
If Torch Resigns, he can be replaced by the Governor, as a Candidate outside of thirty days.
If he resigns Inside of thirty Days, McGreevy can appoint a successor to fill the vacancy. And Suspend the Election till 2003
That having been said SCOTUS will likely take a very dim view of that, because the term of the senate is 6 years not seven, but anytime you are forced to rely on the courts, you may as well be flipping coins, and politically, will SCOTUS really want to decide for a Republican, in a case that determines the Majority, so close to being accused of perfidy in the 2000 election (wrongly, but nonetheless).
The only other hope is that the Republicans win the Majority wiithout NJ, then disqualify whomever (if not Forrester) NJ sends to Washington (The Senate is the Sole Constitutional judge of elections to that Body)
