NATURAL blondes are an endangered species and will be extinct by 2202, say scientists.
There are too few people carrying the blonde gene for the hair colour to continue down the generations.
So women and men with blonde hair, blonde eyebrows and blue eyes will vanish from the face of the earth within 200 years, says the World Health Organisation.
Researchers predict the last blonde will live in FINLAND which has the highest number of true blondes in the world.
The problem is that blonde hair is caused by a recessive gene.
A child has to have the gene on both sides of the family in the grandparents generation to get blonde hair.
But blonde genes are rapidly becoming watered down.
A spokesman for the WHO research team said: It looks like their days are numbered.
And bottle blondes like singer Kylie Minogue and surgically- enhanced model Jordan may even be responsible for the demise of their natural rivals.
The WHO spokesman added: Artificial blondes tend to be blonder and possibly more attractive to men.
This could mean more and more men are selecting them as partners over their naturally blonde peers.
The number of bottle blondes is likely to soar.
A German study has found fair-haired waitresses or barmaids earn 20 per cent more in tips than others.

Who would have thought that peroxide would become extinct? ;-) You know how it is. The Greens have warned us for years, we're tapping too much into our precious peroxide resources, and soon peroxide blondes will become an endangerous species - conserve peroxide and give to the Bottle Blonde Fund, etc. etc.

All cheques should be crossed, and addressed to Happygal...all major credit cards also accepted ;-) That would work except you're not a Bottle Blonde. Won't the peroxide crowd object, being jealous that God gave you what they have to extract from corrosive chemicals? ;)

This takes some time to load, but it's worth it: http://www.fhm.com/img/reporter/bigeye/15aug/boobs.swf
Excellent mouse-over effect.

"Recessive genes are inherited at the same rate as dominant genes." That may be true, but you need a pair to actually affect the phenotype, so if there are say 10 blondes now per every 100 people, there is a chance of a coupling between blonds that are fairly high, but if its 10/1000, the recesive gene will still be there but the probability of of inheriting both is much lower.
To: FITZ
If possessors of recessive genes breed less or produce less living offspring than those possessors of dominant genes then they don't get inherited at the same rate. I though 'all other things being equal ' was so obvious here it wasn't necessary to type it, but I guess it wasn't.

>I believe redheads are even rarer than blonds. I wonder what the prognosis for the survival of natural redheads would be?
Well, the Bible says David was "ruddy and fair". That sounds like a redheaded Irshman to me! And there are other such citations as well. That was 3,000 years ago and we don't seem to have run out of redheads yet. {ggg}.

All blood has drained from head. What's her name? Barret Swatek
Evidently she's on some show on WB called 7th Heaven - never heard of it, never watched it.
She called Hannity last week & he said his engineers were going gaga over some pics on the web, so I did a quick search
I wish conservative women around here looked like that.

I've always prefered asian and swarthy skinned hispanic women (with dark hair) to blonde women anyway.

You assume that Italy was empty in 1500 BCE for the Celt or Germans to come in.
Do a linguistic analysis. Heck compare paintings of Romans and descriptions to Germans.
Romans were short and Meditteranian looking. We are not talking Aryans here.

Julius Caesar was along with a lot of the aristocracy. You have to assume they were more ah inbred then the rest of the populace and thus less likely to have interbred over the years with southern Italians. Thus closer to what the original Romans generally looked like.

Do you expect me to concentrate on work after THAT?

Great pics (etc), but I still prefer redheads.
(I'm not just saying that because Mrs. CD lurks here, either)

WHY IS THE BRUNETTE CONSIDERED AN EVIL COLOR?
When was the last time you saw a blonde witch?
A picture is worth a thousand words.

In 200 years, school children will be studying basic genome basic theory and adults will be able to choose what their children will be like (though I suspect most won't want to go monkeying around with their genes).
At the local PreConception Center...
"Mr. Smith and Ms. Torrez, have you decided on the characteristics of your child?"
"Yes, we'll have the blond kinky hair, green eyes, medium brown skin, greek nose, full lips, asian eyes, attached earlobes, and oval face."
"Very good, lets' get started..."
