Where did you get the definition for today's word? I should have known better but didn't go look it up.

The OED defines invidious as:

1. Of a charge, complaint, report, etc.: Tending or fitted to excite odium, unpopularity, or ill feeling against some one. Now rare.

2. a. Of an action, duty, topic, etc.: Entailing odium or ill will upon the person performing, discharging, discussing, etc.; giving offence to others.
b. Of a comparison or distinction: Offensively discriminating.

3. Of a thing: Fitted to excite ill feeling or envy against the possessor.

4. That looks with an evil eye; envious, grudging, jealous. Now rare.

5. Viewed with ill will or dislike; odious to a person. Obs. rare.

I wish you had included all the definitions instead of just a variation of #4.

speaking of injuries and baseball.... allow me to make fun of xshub in absentia...

his ofc started up a co-ed softball team. Their first game was last night. Good ole babe ruth could barely MOVE this AM.... tell me why men still need to prove their sports ability in their DOTAGE?? i said, just like michael jordan and assorted other athletes that could just live on in the glow of their youthful accomplishments, he should have just GIVEN IT UP!!!

oh i know, he had fun anyway. he was laughing at himself. the worst part is all of his employees are young and the women have young stud boyfriends as ringers. No one has a kid of Teeball age, so he was LHAO at the rules as they are identical to teeball, and so when he asked who was bringing the JUICE BOXES, no one knew what he was talking about!
