Pinging the Ring Ping King....

It is probably to recent a film to know for sure how long it will stay on this list.... But I do think folk like it! At least, the folk who make lists like it!

That Bilbo video should carry liability insurance.

Yes and they didn't even list the theme song for Gilligan's Island!

The two that I immediately thought of upon reading the title of the thread were "The Mission" which is #13 on the list (yaaaaay) and "Last of the Mohicans" which was not (pout).

My wife sang me the Bilbo Baggins song this morning when I woke up.
She's not getting a Christmas present this year.
The inclusion of the Nimoy piece in the FotR score would immediately move it from the best of all time to the worst of all time.

If only they had some Tom Bombadil tunes in there, too!

I'd agree with this alrighty. Howard Shore wrote a wondeful score.

"The Mission" is a fantastic movie, highly under-rated.
Superb score too.

49. The Score.
The background music wasn't nearly funky enough for me.

Ummm....I don't want to be a wet blanket so I won't say anything.
I haven't/don't watch SNL.

Williams was the most popular composer on the list and the man behind the famous Star Wars theme. Three of his soundtracks were in the top 50 and he has a total of nine in the top 30, I counted 8 in the top 20!
I'm so thrilled that Lord of the Rings was voted #1. I just love the music, and can't wait to hear what Howard Shore has done for TTT!

I may be the only person in the country who didn't like ET or the music from ET.
