It is probably to recent a film to know for sure how long it will stay on this list.... But I do think folk like it! At least, the folk who make lists like it!

Wow... a lot of John Williams on that list!

The two that I immediately thought of upon reading the title of the thread were "The Mission" which is #13 on the list (yaaaaay) and "Last of the Mohicans" which was not (pout).

I'd agree with this alrighty. Howard Shore wrote a wondeful score.

49. The Score.
The background music wasn't nearly funky enough for me.

Williams was the most popular composer on the list and the man behind the famous Star Wars theme. Three of his soundtracks were in the top 50 and he has a total of nine in the top 30, I counted 8 in the top 20!
I'm so thrilled that Lord of the Rings was voted #1. I just love the music, and can't wait to hear what Howard Shore has done for TTT!

I've been increasingly impressed with Shore's sound track as I've had more time to hear it. A friend sent me an audio tape of the best-of songs on it (eliminating the darker ones), and wow ...
Plus, judging from the featurette interview with him on the DVD, he's quite a humble guy. Very likeable.
I'm surprised the sound track from The Patriot (John Williams) didn't make the list. I loved the music from that.
