Check out this news:
21 Korean defectors arrive by fishing boat
I would dearly love to be there to see these people arrive in a land of freedom after their ordeal.

Wonderful pic, Miss Marple. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to be sure to check out the Dose tonight. tillacum won't want to miss that one! (#138, til)

(((kayak))), yippee, you're home and you survived! Now, to make it through the whole week with the little ones ... remember, if Miss Marple can do it, you can, too.

Thanks for the note of encouragement as well as the welcome back message.

We are looking forward to having the kids this week but it will be exhausting.

If our paths don't cross again before you leave, I hope you have a great trip. I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

Have you said where you're going? Right now my brain cell isn't working too well ...... :-)

I'm back. What an evening! We got caught in a bad dust storm on the way to SLC, and arrived to dinner about 30 minutes late. What a divine dinner. We ate a restaurant called The Roof. It is a buffet and absolutely one of the best buffets and restaurants around. Here is the view:

I think we were sitting at that table in the picture, the view was absolutely spectacular. As the meal wound down, the sun was setting, the rays of the sun were filtered through the clouds and the lights of the temple were on. Wow.

And then coming home, we got caught in another traffic jam. This time there was a fatal accident, we heard one fatality. It took us over 2 hours to get home, usually it takes about 45 minutes. I am still full, and I am off to bed! Talk to everyone tomorrow.

And just to make you all jealous, here was what was on the buffet menu...

The buffet features a selection of the following:
  * Tossed Baby Field Greens With Dressing * A selection of Gourmet Salads * Chilled Large Shrimp * Cold Poached Salmon * Imported and Domestic Cheese * Seasonal Fresh Hors d'oeuvres * Hot Soup or Chowder * Prime Rib and Pit Ham at our Carvery Station * Four Hot Entrees * Fresh Hot Pasta * Chef's Choice of Potatoes * Seasonal Steamed Vegetables * Seasonal Fruits * Refillable Soft Drinks * Bottled Water and Fruit Juices * Salt Lake City's Finest Dessert Buffet

UG, sorry to hear about the traffic and dust storm but it sure sounds like the wonderful food (yes, I am jealous!) and fantastic view more than made up for it. I'm glad you had such a nice evening.

kay, we're going up to Cambria, it's on the central coast and is just beautiful. We'll be seeing some seals, walruses and sea otters while we're there, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to some nice long walks and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Talk to you when we get back, if not before. Prayers continuing for you, too.
