write 100 times that 'I will do good tomorrow, I will do good tomorrow'.M/i>

Try writing that that 200 times, and then remember that your adorable GD needs you to be good so that she can be properly spoiled!

I have to admit that I have not been following the Westerfield trial - closely or even from afar. I read everything there was in the newspapers before the trial started and had already decided he was being framed.

Now, I'm really getting interested in seeing what the jury thinks, as I have been sort of following their requests for testimony, etc.

#122.....I'm glad to hear you say that!!

The liberal media would rather an innocent man be hanged than admit the parents may have MORE than contributed to their daughter's disappearance by living a wide open sex & drugs filled lifestyle that invited total strangers over for fun & games!!

You know, I don't know much about the trial, and haven't followed it too much. However, one thing has always struck me.

In the videos of the poor murdered child, she doesn't look innocent. She looks "hard." I don't mean that she was evil, but rather that she had seen WAY too much for an 8-year old. Just my intuition, and I could be 100% wrong.

Sweetie, from what I've read, and heard from the parents own mouths.....this poor little type didn't have much parental protection & nurturing, and was subject to who knows what.

The mom was out at the local bar, dirty dancing with strange men, AND dirty dancing with her girlfriends....

...they toked up on marijuana...the parents, the girlfriends & the guy friends ...in the family garage.
....the girlfriends were sleeping with the Dad......

..one of the girlfriends was a flight attendant..(she has since lost her job)....They lied to police!

It's a big mess!!!

The mom...Brenda Van Dam...fingered Westerfield.....and while he's not pollypure....he is divorced, and frequented the same bar.....I still think he was framed BIGTIME!

One year we did a VBS in a very low income neighborhood. We had one teacher who had just gotten married. The topic of conversation of the 1st and 2nd graders was whether she "did it." We were so stunned it took a moment to totally turn the conversation around. I can't imagine the things those children had seen.

I'm very open to the possibility that the DA needed a perp and his henchmen planted the necessary fibers, hair, and blood.

Why didn't they make a big deal about the others in the home for fun and games that night?

Haven't had time to read the thread yet but wanted to let y'all know I'm back home.

Right now the kids are watching a video to calm them down before bed time ..... they've been wound up ever since we got here and I've let them run off some of the pent up energy since they spent so long confined to the car.

Back later after they're down for the night.

Good evening all!

I really haven't been paying as close attention to the news, as I generally do......However, I can't help but notice the "irony" that upon the CNN release of their closely held tapes, Rummy does an exclusive interview with Fox News! I've watched a bit of both channels tonight, and it's difficult to believe that they are both reporting from the same country, let alone about the same administration!

OTOH, I did stay up to watch the replay of CNN's show about 9/11 last night, and it was very moving. I didn't know that I had that many tears left in me....

Oh, I am so glad to see you! I wanted to make sure that in your new house you have EARTHQUAKE INSURANCE. You are near the New Madrid fault, and although the chances are slim, earthquake insurance isn't that expensive.

Here in Indianapolis several years ago we had a 5.0 quake and it cracked the brick on our home...because we had the insurance (due to me insisting on it because of my degree) we didn't have to pay much for repairs.

PLEASE make sure your policy has this extra!!

Thanks ever so much, for that advice! I have yet to tackle the insurance issue, but that is on the agenda during the next two weeks.

On Friday, my 6-year-old who is in first grade said that there has been a lot of talk about boyfriends and girlfriends in her class. One boy wanted to be her boyfriend and a girl told our daughter, "He just wants to have S-E-X with you." When my wife relayed it to me, I was in shock. I can't imagine how a 6-year-old would get those kinds of thoughts into their head. Fortunately, when my wife went to the teacher and to the guidance counselor today, they both took it very seriously. They know that it's a sign of a very troubled home life when that kind of talk surfaces so young.

Hold their feet to the fire. Your daughter's innocence in on the line. The sleaze of our world will touch her soon enough without help from the classroom.

SY,

I have to tell you that when I read about your family, it reminds me of the family of my very best buddy from college. She and her hubby have been ex-pats for the last 11 years, with two children now 12 and 10. The 10-year-old is a sweet little girl, (who happens to be my god child!) born in Germany, lived in London, Hong Kong, and now in Sydney. An American kid, but she's never lived here! I usually get to hook up with them about every two years. They have attended American or British schools, everywhere they've lived. In Sydney, they are now in Lutheran schools. Each time I meet with them, I'm struck by their intelligence, and their innocense!

Follow your heart and God's will, SY. I believe the answer is there....

I am having a senior moment, and cannot remember who raises llamas. However, I thought all of us would appreciate this picture from rintense's thread:
