I think this would be a good to review the appropriate maritime signal flags and their meanings:
D - keep clear of me, I am manuevering with difficulty
F - Vessel disabled
G - I require a pilot
K - you should stop your vessel instantly
L - you should stop, I have something important to communicate
O - man overboard
P - (At sea) your lights are out or burning badly
R - the way is off my ship. You may feel your way past me
S - my engines are going full speed astern
U - you are standing into danger
V - I require assistance (not distress)
W - I require medical assistance
X - stop carrying out your intentions and watch for my signals
N + C - I am in distress

(And if you doubt this, check out B.C. in the funny papers) The clams once made an attempt at killing B.C. because he learned their secret. It was pretty funny.
Do they still refer to the Fat Broad as the Fat Broad, or have the PC police banned it?

I think women and seamen don't mix.
We know what you think, Smithers.

I like "Sponge Warfare" and "Tomato-Flavored Gum".
Both of which are excellent names for a band.

Do clams have legs? (And if you doubt this, check out B.C. in the funny papers)
What about Penthouse?

Perhaps our Seaman prefers semaphore!
Error! (LH and RH raised and lowered together)

I'm trying to locate the flag signal for "I have many Mardi Gras beads. Please maneuver close aboard." :-)
