I'm glad it is a bit cooler there for you. I complain about the heat here, but we have next to no humidity. I remember the summer I was in NYC, I just about died from the humidity.
I haven't heard anything about Jacob yet. My parents aren't answering their phone, and neither is my brother (Jacob's father.) I'm sure I'd have heard if there was bad news.
When I came home this afternoon, there was a huge box of produce on my front porch with a note from my dad. I made some salsa, yum, with the tomatoes and peppers, and a cucumber salad in vinegar. Lots of green beans, new potatoes, and yellow squash. And I stopped at the corn stand for fresh corn. I just love this time of year.
That quilt is a pretty ambitious project. I have no doubt that it will be gracing your wall this yule-tide season. I just took a look at my projects and sighed. I better finish some of them before my hubby has to move them.... AGAIN! LOL!
We got some homegrown 'maters, and peppers and eggplant from a neighbor the other day...and I made a BIG FAT mater sandwich...it was goooooood.
I think hopefully the hummidity will break by Monday.....
