Today mark's the 25th anniversary of Elvis's death.

Israel is preparing for both biological and chemical Iraqi attacks, in additional to all the other kinds of likely attacks.

Another little girl is missing...this time from Virginia, and after her parents were discovered shot to death.

Don't you just love it? little tommy d. being snubbed in his home state? And somewhere off somewhere close was little dickie g., did ya'll see his crowd? is was low, low, low in attendence. If the repub beats the dem from that state, you are going to see little tommy d. start diving in his approvals in his own state. Lets pray this happens. Thanks for the heads up on the speech.

Raven - William and I just got back from lunch at Aladdin's. Yummy! They seem to be doing fine...newly designed menus...It was busy.

As some of you may know,a Stark County, OH patrollman was shot and killed over the weekend.

His funeral service was this a.m. in Akron, and I didn't realize it before we went , but the funeral procession on its way to the cemetary drove past the restaurant where we just had lunch.

Police car after police car drove by....from all over the state, and

Species, there was a firemen's contingent, too.

And motorcycled units....

People came out of the offices, and houses nearby to pay their respects...for almost an hour the procession continued.

My son and I left the restaurant after finishing and found a spot on the grass outside....

Impossible not to cry......

Yes, he sounds as if he is doing OK. It is hard not to get our hopes up too high that he won't get HUS again. We'll see.

And yippee skippy, I just found out I get to work tomorrow. :( But the good news is the developer just walked by and said he finally found the problem, and is fixing it right now. I just hate having my summer ruined because of work, yet again. I am done whining now.

Wish we'd get some rain. I love watching the rain fall. It is so peaceful for me. Always loved just waking up in the morning to the sound of the rain.

How ironic you should mention this. I am headed to a police funeral this afternoon. Former head of the state troopers here. I have known him since he was a street cop. He retired in June and was murdered by a jealous girlfriend a couple of weeks ago. Sad, sad situation. He has just reunited with his wife of many years and was ready to leave on an extended vacation abroad as part of the reconciliation effort.

Sigh.....
