perorate \PUR-uh-rayt\, intransitive verb:
perorates, perorating; perorated
perorational; adjective
peroration; noun
1. To conclude or sum up a long discourse.
2. To speak or expound at length; to declaim.
3. To make a peroration; to harangue. [Colloq.]

Etymology: Latin peroratus, past participle of perorare to declaim at length, wind up an oration, from per- through + orare to speak. Date: 1603

Al Gore's
peroration is getting more than old.
Instead, he's now the would-be messiah for the salvation of democratic capitalism. I guess the message is: Listen to Gore or your grandkids will stand Soviet-style in lines for toilet paper.
His messiah complex is so overblown that some day you may see him on Pennsylvania Avenue shouting, "Soylent Green is people."
