We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
WorldCom announced they will decide within the next three weeks whether they have to file for bankruptcy protection. Analysts seem to think it is a foregone conclusion. It would be the largest such filing in US history, doubling the size of the Enron folding.
An Al Qa'eda audio tape has a spokesperson assuring the world The Evil One and Mullah Omar are alive and well.
A group of parents in Oakland, CA, are suing the school district for violation of the Establishment Clause. No, this time it is not Christianity that is at question. The action focuses on what has popped up in the news of late about certain practices in public schools in Kantafordia. According to The Washington Times, the parents filed suit because the schools, after September 11, "encouraged students to wear Muslim robes, adopt Islamic names, and stage make-believe pilgrimages to Mecca to learn about the faith."

Yes, I believe they do.............and I'm sure it hurts a whole lot before they get it, too!
Sumbarine races???
Could be. Of course in Wisconsin it would be a little number from Victoria's Secret under her parka along with one of those Oh, so sexy cheese hats. And of course, some romantic lighting to set the mood.....say a Coleman lantern turned down real low.
WOW! Right out of a Cary Grant movie.
Well, we were rich! He made $13,000/yr and I made $10,000! Ah, the good old days!
Do you realize what a minority of the population we're in, to have marriages that worked and lasted? What a blessing!
Now that I have an employer that can send me to jail for saying "no", I may get the opportunity to try some of them.

I find it hard to understand sometimes, too, but my husband always sets me straight:-)
john - What a fine patch that is!! Many, many congratulations and thanks for your dedication!
I am spending the next couple of days trying to make sure I get everything packed that I will need, personally, as well as professionally. I have no idea where my cds are.

...... I'm not sure I've completely recovered from that meal yet ...... WOW!
Everything on the menu is a la carte ..... but everything comes in portions generous enough to share.
We started off with an appetizer of barbecued shrimp served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes ...... delicious!
Then we shared a salad which was very good ..... and was huge, even divided between us.
I got a filet which was cooked to perfection ..... hubby got the "Cowboy Special" .... a 22 ounce rib eye ..... i.e., half a cow! .... it was humongous! Both steaks were fantastic .... fork tender and very flavorful.
As a side, we got au gratin potatoes, which were really more like a cross between scalloped potatoes and au gratin ..... and they were scrumptious .....
..... Then to top off the meal (even though we hadn't cleaned our plates) we really splurged and shared a piece of the most heavenly Key lime pie you have ever tasted .... it was totally delectable and the perfect ending to a truly sumptious feast.
All the food was cooked to perfection, the service was impeccable ..... and the tab was mucho grande but worth it!
I think it would be fatal to eat there often but it was one fantastic meal!
