AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 521) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 26, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 06/26/2002 4:18:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom discovered for the entirety of 2001 and the first quarter of 2002, its CFO was overreporting earnings - to the total tune over the period of nearly $4 billion. Arthur Andersen was the accounting firm; they claim their work was in compliance with SEC standards and that it was WorldCom's CFO that was withholding data from them. The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation. A preliminary search of the Internet has not, so far, turned up any connections with the previous Administration. Give it time.

Martha Stewart is now facing a wider investigation into her stock dealings. She says she wants "to concentrate on [her] salad."

The FBI searched a home near Ft. Ditrick. The home belonged to a scientist with access to anthrax.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

.Okay, all packed here so I can chat a bit!

Sooo.... you have an "alibi" for the time you were in CO and when the fires started! *smile* I can't go this summer, but we will be going to LV on 7/10 for a few days. We have to stay close for a bit until my hubby completes selling his business. Good to see you here! Mel says hi!

Mozie! Thuffering thuckathat! I can arrange a "wake up" "beefcake" photo for you *smile*

Isb - I missed you and all the belles and I did my share of mispelling - funny I do better correcting others than my own! Those essays I read on Human Behavior were a hoot! I showed them "Patton" movie in US History and they loved it!

Molly - I thought about all those days we "held each other up" around here during the dark days! I actually found out one of my student's father posts on FR.com! I hope to have time to read for pleasure this summer, but I am going to teach a couple of freshmen World History courses next year so I will be brushing up on 1500 - to current!

Okay, have you ever had FRIED OREOS? Use the double stuffed oreo cookies, dip them into prepared funnel cake batter, deep fry them briefly, drain on a paper towel, sprinkle with powdered sugar, (have insulin ready) then eat!

The lady in the photocopy room at school had a huge poster of Mel over her desk! I spent a lot of time in her office!

How are you? I am just getting over "high school" horrors! Those little "cherubs" all needed a bar of soap stuck in their mouths!

Ok. I just got off the phone with my elder daughter, and am done crying my eyes out. I got to hear the little guy. He had the hiccups. And he gurgled a couple of times. And then he fell asleep.

Ok. I'm not quite done with with water-works.

Elder daughter and I have made up for a lot of lost time tonight. I sense a healing in our rift. I am SO blessed.

Isn't it wonderful what new life can do?

Amen. It is a blessing. I'm not generally this weepy. The last 5 days have been a whirlwind of emotion.

Sorry I posted and ran, but duties were calling.
I did see a tad of C-span and you are right. That is the fastest that bunch in the Senate has ever moved. Mostly to cover their backsides. Even the Feinstein was embarrassed!
I am proud of AL Sen. Sessions. He spoke with authority. The senator from Utah was eloquent also.
