AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 521) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 26, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 06/26/2002 4:18:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom discovered for the entirety of 2001 and the first quarter of 2002, its CFO was overreporting earnings - to the total tune over the period of nearly $4 billion. Arthur Andersen was the accounting firm; they claim their work was in compliance with SEC standards and that it was WorldCom's CFO that was withholding data from them. The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation. A preliminary search of the Internet has not, so far, turned up any connections with the previous Administration. Give it time.

Martha Stewart is now facing a wider investigation into her stock dealings. She says she wants "to concentrate on [her] salad."

The FBI searched a home near Ft. Ditrick. The home belonged to a scientist with access to anthrax.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Her lungs were full of blood clots,

That killed my maternal grandmother back in October of 66. I was a sad little boy that day. I am so glad that they have drugs to counteract that now. Praise God for her recovery.

I hope the pastor was not there during the Colmes tripe.

What area of DFW does your son live? I've got important food info that he needs to try out!

He needs to try a place called Wild Harry's. It is a frozen custard stand on Knox Street. It is just north of downtown.

They make custard fresh everyday. Some of the flavors are lemon, strawberry cheesecake, dreamsicle, tutti fruitti, cappucino, chocolate....everyday has a different choice.

They also serve hot dogs but, its the custard that keeps people coming back.

NOSTALGIA FOOD!!!

Fizzies, Burger King, A & W root beer floats and coney dogs, Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips, the Tee Pee (familiar only to Indianapolis area residents), frozen malts, Slo-Poke suckers, and Oconto Bottling Company's CREAM SODA (Mozie might have had this)!

I'll bite! I remember A&W drive-ins. You could order a Pappa, Momma, or baby burger.

Slo-pokes were wonderful if you could get the wrapper off.

Fizzies...are they the tabs you would drop in water to make a soda?

...OK, junk food......MOON PIES!!!!!!

.....No one will know what I'm talking about.....7-UP candy bars. (made in the 70's)
...they were sectioned off into 7 pieces, and one was strawberry, another coconut, another chocolate, another nut, etc......

Bless them, Hannity & Colmes just played Red Skelton's version of

....The Pledge of Allegiance

....even Colmes looked a bit abashed when it was through.....

Skelton's version is very stirring..........and in it, he said 'Wouldn't it be a pity if someday someone tried to take UNDER GOD out of the Pledge.'
