AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 521) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 26, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 06/26/2002 4:18:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom discovered for the entirety of 2001 and the first quarter of 2002, its CFO was overreporting earnings - to the total tune over the period of nearly $4 billion. Arthur Andersen was the accounting firm; they claim their work was in compliance with SEC standards and that it was WorldCom's CFO that was withholding data from them. The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation. A preliminary search of the Internet has not, so far, turned up any connections with the previous Administration. Give it time.

Martha Stewart is now facing a wider investigation into her stock dealings. She says she wants "to concentrate on [her] salad."

The FBI searched a home near Ft. Ditrick. The home belonged to a scientist with access to anthrax.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Back!

Loving it in New York, Molly - can look due west from our back deck and see Canada! It's just lovely here, altho quite humid today. Everything else is terrif! Well, except I DO miss the kidlets and grandkidlets.

I remember having to learn the "new" Pledge in the 50's. It was SOOO hard to learn to insert that two word phrase - the first couple of months our class couldn't get through it without someone messing up, which caused the rest of us to start laughing and giggling. So much for solemnity. But now - especially now - it is ludicrous to contemplate any alteration or not saying it at all.

I have contacted my congresscritters and told them in no uncertain terms that enough is enough.
This time the liberals have gone too far and if the Congress doesn't start moving on the Judical nominations that President Bush has put forth, then the whole bunch needs to be thrown out or impeached or both!
I am so irked!
I hope we say the pledge during service tonight at chruch!

Hey - almost missed you. Wouldn't you love to have a transcript of the phone calls among the Dems on CapHill after that ruling came out? Sweating in his loafers, indeed...

They are doing a special vote on S. 292 Res. of The Pledge of Allegiance.

Hillary Clinton voted AYE. Have not heard any "NAYS" YET. Although, of course, they're not all in there yet. I think to vote NAY would mean instant political death.

If you are at home, and not stuck at work, turn on CSPAN-2. It is very interesting. This is the fastest I have ever seen anything go through the Senate. ROFLOL!!! ;-)

I just spent 30 minutes carefully deboning 2 fresh rainbow trout for supper tonight. It's like filleting a fish from the inside, and leaving the outside looking like it could swim away. They are marinading in buttermilk to help dissolve any tiny little bones that might be hiding.

I'm also going to serve sauted yellow and Italian squash with onion, green and red peppers, and fresh herbs.

For the starch, I have bow-tie pasta that I will serve the fish on with a garlic and lemon butter sauce.

The fish will be dredged in seasoned in flour and baked in the oven.

Mmmmmm.

SMKs ... I do not know why I find this so darkly humorous ... but it is ... sorta like watching someone shoot themselves in the foot ... or slightly higher up ...

The timing on this ... LOL! ... it almost feels like He lifted the rock hiding the libs for a minute ... just so we could ALL see them squirming all about.

HAR!

He's after mixin' it up, I think. *grins*

This
will
never
stand ...

and might bring a few liberal mulch-mold down with it. *snirk*

You are right, everyone is running for cover on this one. I'm watching on C-SPIN. Voting against this would be like voting against mother-hood and apple pie. LOL!

Oh, John .... I can hardly wait until you and Trill open your most wondrous Bed and Breakfast ... you make me slobber ... or maybe I should say ... daintily salivate with your menus ...

How's your kiddo-who-took-a-giant-step-towards-learning-life doing?!

I am so very proud of her ....
