Any Secretary of the Treasury who runs around Africa with a soon-to-be-has-been rock star to promote exporting the Welfare State to Third World countries ought to be given the boot.
I'd like to see him replaced by someone from the Austrian School.

I'd like to see him replaced by someone from the Austrian School.Any suggestions? Most of them seem to be tied into the Lew Rockwell scene, which ain't gonna sit well with the DC establishment.

The only reason O'neill has a job is because he is friends with Greenspan, personally, I'd fire O'Neill and replace him with Forbes, and force out Greenspan and replace him with Hunter.

Ok -- at least Forbes is interested in the financial well being of the US.I just think O'Neill isn't.

I would have to look pretty hard, but the reason why I would love to have an Austrian at that post is because I'm sick of seeing Keynesians and Chicago Schoolers monopolizing the debate. It's time for something different. It's time to see at least one person in the cabinet who knows that true economic freedom starts with divorcing economy and state.
