Did they use Butterfly ballots?
I demand a re-count!
To: HairOfTheDog
I don't know....do you think we got Gored? I think those "Star Wars" people voted twice!

Well, I am going to guess that many of the LoTR fans read the ballot and couldn't vote because they were too busy writing long essays contesting the wording of the ballot, arguing that TTT is not really a sequel and doesn't belong on the list...
I will ping ecurbh for you so that he can ping his list.
To: HairOfTheDog
Okay on the pinging. So TTT is a "mequel?"

The only ones I will even see are the other two LOTR parts, the new Matrix sequel and the new Indiana Jones.
I have no clue what "Red Dragon" and "Die Another Day"(please not another Die Hard) even are.

I'm with you! The only ones I plan to see (at least at a theater) are TTT and ROTK.

Tolkien OnLine got this info from
USA Today who got it from
Internet Movie Database I went to the IMDb site but couldn't find these poll results. Apparently you have to register at their site to vote.

I'm guessing it's because we know how LoTR turns out, but people don't know how the other storylines will play out. So there is a TAD more anticipation for the other sequels.

I was thinking of that radio commercial (for the STARZ network, I think) where they guy is quizzing salespeople about movies. The last question is "In science fiction movies, what always fails at a critical momment?" The guy answers "photon torpedoes." What a maroon!

There are several I want to see, but TTT and ROTK are the tops on my list.
My son plans to take me to a midnight showing of Men in Black II since it premieres on my birthday. I'd be just as happy to see FOTR again. ;-)

I have no clue what "Red Dragon" and "Die Another Day"(please not another Die Hard) even are. "Red Dragon" - Hannibal Lector:The First Course
"Die another Day" - The name is Bond. James Bond.

I quit the Star Wars universe after the first new movie. Too predictable and you already know what's going to happen, so why bother? Anakin turns into a bad guy, nuff said. As for the Marvel movies, why o why can't they just make
ONE movie that is even close to the storyline? Glen Stacy, hellooo!?!? I'm afraid to see the Fantastic Four when it comes out. Sue Richards might leave Reed for Spiderwoman in the movie version and poor little Franklin, Lord knows what they'd do to him. Can't let the Torch 'flame on', they might give the kiddies some bad ideas(in more than one way if you catch my drift). No, the only Marvel movie worth a dern was Blade and they even came close to messing that up. I can only imagine what they're going to do to Ghost Rider
Ok, rant off about comic book movies. Sorry, just perturbs me. LOTR:TTT isn't even a sequel so it shouldn't really count in this poll but if it has to be counted it should be #1

I am turned off on Star Wars movies after the last one (Phantom Menace) too. My sister is trying to get me to see the current one with the selling point as "it's not as bad as the last one." If I'm going to see another Star Wars movie, it'll be on TV if at all. I don't get into Marvel comic movies so I'll take your word for it. As for Die Anyday and Die Hard....I thought they were talking about my car battery! :)

I have no clue what "Red Dragon" and "Die Another Day"(please not another Die Hard) even are.Red Dragon is sort of a prequel to Silence of the Lambs.
Let me put it this way. I am by no means squeamish, but it is one of the few books I have ever stopped reading simply because the action got too revolting.
