In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Etymology: Middle English dros, from Old English drOs dregs. Date: before 12th century
Instead Mr Mugabe told Afrikone, an African television station, yesterday that the West "enjoys seeing Africans suffer ... The more we suffer the happier they are". He added: "The only good imperialist is a dead imperialist." (snip)
President Mbeki of South Africa said that their absence showed that they "do not care about human life".
He said that the world's leaders, including President Bush and Tony Blair, had come to Rome only two weeks ago for a NatoRussia meeting. The fact that they had not returned to discuss how to tackle worldwide starvation suggested that "they obviously don't think the problem of 800 million starving people is important".
Mugabe and his ilk have finally gone round the bend. They are systematically murdering their people, and then they refuse offers of help; then have the nerve to say that the West is doing this to them. Mugabe has maggots in his brain. He wants to start a war in Africa. Hed me more than happy to kill off every light skinned or white person in that region, but you know, his people would still be starving afterwards. He cant even farm the land that hes already killed for, and this is land that had crops down. Does he think those harvests come in by thinking good thoughts and wishing??!
And as for that little twerp Mbeki, he needs to get a reality check. Did it occur to the worm that perhaps President Bush and Prime Minister Blair had a few other things on their mind, like fighting a war? Im sorry they couldnt drop everything to attend a World Starvation seminar that served Fois Gras, Lobster and exotic deserts. Some of the countries that have starving people have been refusing aid, and Im sure that those two men have better things to do than fix a country that refuses to fix itself. Mugabe and Mbeki want the west to kowtow and give everything they have to them, well, thats just not going to happen.
As my mother would say, you let dross like Mugabe and Mbeki be skimmed away then you work with the refined materials that are left! /disgusted voice

Good morning, everyone . . .
Lone, Honey, if I had that kinda money, I wouldn't be working here! LOL
Hence, the need to do it every day, is diminished. Someday, someone will provide adequate competition, but I don't see that happening anytime in the near future.
