This is no doubt for their own protection. The only time I have ever removed my pistol from its holster with the intent of using it was when an aggressive panhandler wouldn't leave me alone as I was leaving an ATM. She (yeah, she) got the message real quick after that. First thing the next morning, the bank branch manager got the message, too.

Now watch, hobbes and dubya will mock me all day for pulling my piece on a girrrrl. She was about 300lbs, 6', carrying an umbrella and strung out on crack.
