Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. drossy; adjective
1. Waste or impure matter: discarded the dross after recycling the wood pulp.
2. The scum that forms on the surface of molten metal as a result of oxidation.
3. Worthless, commonplace, or trivial matter:
“He was wide-awake and his mind worked clearly, purged of all dross” (Vladimir Nabokov).
4. Waste matter; any worthless matter separated from the better part; leavings; dregs; refuse.

Have y'all been following that situation in Alabama? The girlfriend has been arrested in the case where he said he had been drug. He'd actually been stabbed.

I posted that early this morning in yesterday's classroom, Miss Rika. One of my medical school classmates went into practice in Pickens county Alabama. He owns a feeder hog operation in Gordo, AL.

I guess it was more convenient to say that Bubba, Dexter and Cletus sodomized him with a pipe wrench and dragged him a mile than to admit that his girlfriend cut him up outside a honkytonk.
