Actually what Rush said about 'Going freeper' is probably a complement meaning staunch conservatism.

Former President Clinton, right, comforts Mary Chris Burrow, a family member of Robert S. Hargraves, outside St. Luke's Episcopal Church Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in Hot Springs, Ark. Clinton made a brief trip to Hot Springs to attend funeral services for Hargraves, a longtime friend who died Saturday, June 1.

The pervert is back in the states.

Oh, Paris! I'm so envious. Just thinking about the food makes my mouth water. Do plan a side trip to Versailles; it is well worth it......and keep us posted on all the details of your plans.

meaning staunch conservatism.

So I'm right? Do you think he is trying to appeal to the middle?

What's up with Rush? He makes fun of GW trying to reach out to the left

IMO, when Rush lost his hearing, his mind went with it. He is being nasty, cynical, egotistical and disrespectful of the most honorable man to be President in my lifetime (in addition to RR, of course).

What has amazed me in the snippets I have been able to stomach, is that he is laughing at all the rational Conservatives who think he is doing a disservice to the President.

I think there is something seriously wrong with him, but my greatest fear is that he will do serious damage to President Bush before he wakes up and realizes how serious his attempts to create controversy and entertain liberals has become.

I'm ashamed I haven't done so before, but I have begun praying for him that he does wake up, and stops his attempts to hurt President Bush. He's not as powerful as he thinks he is, but he is influential, and he has to stop this idiocy.

I stopped listening to Rush a while ago, but catch his show now and then when nothing else is on.

Here is my take on Rush bashing Bush...... Since Bush has been the president, most of us have been pretty darn happy. We don't have many complaints, especially since we just survived the Impeached Clinton Riegn of Terror. Rush's show needs and thrives on controversy. If there is no controversy he is just a snobby blowhard. I also think that Rush is extremely jealous that Bush has all that power and doesn't cowtow and bow down to Rush like the GOP did in 94. Bush is his own man and Rush had nothing to do with making him the man his is today.

So now Rush is just making things up. Bush never left conservatives. Bush is not a middle of the road kind of guy, but what Bush does do, and what many Freepers fail to do, is to recognize that we can't be black and white and call anyone who doesn't agree with us 100% scum. Bush can be friends with democrats. There is no shame in that. It actually makes him a bigger man. I have yet to see him bend to their demands. My profile has a list of Bush's conservative accomplishments and it's a full page with more being added practically daily.

So in less than a year and a half, Bush has surpassed my expectations and let's not forget that we had a major attack and we are at war. Rush doesn't look at the big picture, he just nitpicks. Happy listeners who have no conflict don't have a reason to listen to Rush. Limbaugh needs to understand that he is pretty much irrelevant well all is going well, and frankly, I think that things are going pretty darn great.

I love my president and I support him. He has never let me down and he has restored the integrity to the Oval Office.

Ok, I am done.

Let me look around a bit - aren't most shows streamed over the internet now?

Clintoon was definitely a force for evil, but I think the downhill slide began with cable tv and all the crap that it brought into many homes, coupled with both parents, when there were two parents, working, and entrusting their little mush heads to the care of strangers.

I also want to work in LBJ's Great Society which has created a permanent class of government pets and societal leeches. /rant

I think what you are saying is true. Rush drops us into converstion every once in a while just to tell us he notices what goes on here.

The Canes were lucky to get past the Habs ;-)Hey HLL, are you allowed to bring a gun to The Joe? Not the safest part of beautiful downtown Detroit, now is it? ;-)

Good analysis. I called much the same thing early on in the 'Enviornment' debate thread.

Rush knows he he has to compete with O'Reilly.

It was really getting heated on the game thread last night between the Detroit Freeps and the 'Canes.

Someone said 'Downtown Detroit is like Cleveland without the glitz..'

Evidently they havent seen Gary, Indiana or East St. Louis

The Joe isn't in a bad area, it's right on the river in the convention area next to the Community College. Usually I park near the Casinos and take the people mover to The Joe so I miss all the traffic crush. Detroit is only bad when you leave the business and stadium districts.

Mike on line

Pretty funny, he's got tiny tommy with a full beard and rag hat. Says that after what tiny's been saying about the President, he considers him a terrorist also. I agree.

There's a strong, almost masochistic streak, in many conservatives to play the contrarian and iconoclast, no matter what the situation. It feeds a desire to appear smarter, more independent, more authentic, to go against the grain when even common sense says it isn't required. It also pumps up one's self importance ;-)So, when all the smarties were berating Reagan in the '80's, and needed their doubts assuaged on every small bit of legislation, well, what did that tell you about their judgement or perspective? Ever get the feeling that many a right winger has elevated daily politics to a secular religion, the thing they would abhor in any Lefty they read about?

The funny thing is that there is so much out there that Rush could go after and inform his listeners about. That's what I really liked about him, actually, his ability to make the complex issues simple. Now, he's just mired in his own ego. It's very sad. It's like breaking up with a long-time boyfriend.

I agree. As as Christian I have faith that My president will always do the right thing. I feel Bush is led by God and prays for guideance.

I agree that Bush is trying to reach out to those who, today might be ready to switch over to being more conservative. What's wrong with that? The other day on Fox, they had this Hollywood reporter saying how the mood in Hollywood is changing and becoming more conservative. Or at least the closet conservatives are coming out. He also said, that the Chers, and the Alex Baldwins are being laughed at now in Hollywood. All because of the mood of the country, set by Bush.

Instead of dividing the country up like the Clintons did, Bush is trying to unite us. Those who do not want this unity will fight Bush all the way, ie. immigration.

I just don't understand why Rush only allows anti-Bush callers on his radio. Unless he really is jealous. Glenn Beck is friend with Jeb Bush. he once mentioned how the FBI/CIA guys came to his office to share some info with him all approved by the Bush admin. Maybe Rush isn't being included? I bet you Bush feels betrayed by Rush. I think that is sad, especially when GW went to Rush's mothers home to vist her.

Are you listening to him now? he's saying he's not bashing Bush because he wants to be invited to liberal social events. BINGO! I know his boss Roger Ales, gets invited to these parties. Well if he thinks the rich Liberals are going to invite him to their parties, they won't. And now! The conservatives won't invite him either. He better call Billy Kristol, and Juan Williams, LOL,LOL, maybe the NPR crowd will have him?

Good grief - I'm thinking whomever said that he lost his mind along with his hearing, and forgot to get his mind back is truly on to something.

I'm sure Liza would have invited him, if she'd only known. ;-)
