Older than dirt.......
We were cleaning out my mother's house and found an old Royal Crown Cola
bottle. In the bottle top was a stopper with a bunch of holes in it. I knew
immediately what it was, but my daughter had no idea. She thought she had
tried to make it a salt shaker or something. I knew it as the bottle that
sat on the end of the ironing board to "sprinkle" clothes with because we
didn't have steam irons.
Man, I am old.

Home milk delivery in glass bottles with cardboard stoppers I remember each summer a local dairy owner would rent an airplane and drop the cardboard stoppers from the plane. If the stopper had a red X on it the kid got a free ice cream cone.
AHH!!! The good old days. :-)
Morning, Nita.

I hide in the closet to stay out of the sun so I don't wrinkle.
I never watched newsreels at theaters, so I should make that clear.... I watched cartoons (Woody Woodpecker) at the drive-ins before the double feature (usually westerns) started, and ate popcorn from boxes, not tubs, and had to wear pajamas and sit in the back seat with my sisters because my parents were in the front.

Yikes....the only one I
don't remember is Butch wax; what the heck is that??
Guess this makes me (as if I didn't already know) older than dirt.
To: MozartLover
I am clueless on that one too!! Maybe moustache wax??? AND I AM PURELY GUESSING.

All 25! That's it. I want my Social Security and I want it now! Hahahaha
Valerie....Butch Wax was something barbers would use on boys after we got a crew cut. It looked like a large chapstick and the barber would slam it into the front of the head to keep the hair sticking straight up. It was rather painful and I think I had a few welts on my forehead but my hair looked great.
