Your scenario has just made me want to hurl - but I would not bet against its happening just as you laid it out. ;-)

Well put Daisy!

As long as the Queen can keep the both of them underwraps with wedding plans in Washington and Chappaqua no more embarrassing publicity for the Vice Presidential run in '04, and Chelsea can move back and get free Secret Service protection until the wedding and afterwords if they live in Vernon Jordan's pad in Manhattan. (since Bubba 'stays there' to avoid the commute to his home in Chappaqua)

Everyone get what they want.

Well, put your brain to work!
*****If this annoucement of Chelsea's marriage turns out to be true...

***COMING TO A GENERAL INTERST THREAD NEAR YOU***

Mr. and Mrs. William Jefferon Clinton
request the honour of your presence
at the
Wedding of their daugher, Chelsea

***Thread***

If this turns out to be true, we most certainly WILL have a thread running from day to day in the General Interest Forum. This is a social and political event that the people of Free Repubic cannot possibly afford to let pass them by.

As a beginning, we, of course, will ask Miss Marple to be our protocol expert; we are asking codebreaker, mountaineer and daisyscarlett to be our head "news/gossip" reporters. I will be asking kcvl and Dog to be our chief investigators, since they both can find absolutely everything on the internet. We'll be needing LOTS of investigation into the backgrounds, views, opinions of the bridal party, the guest, and, needless to say, we'll all have to scout through the news, i.e. newspapers, radio, and TV, to find out what is saying what to whom about whom!

We will be depending on seamole and backhoe to set us up a bump list, of course. And is there any doubt that we ask Dales to keep up with the "cash flow?" HAL9000 will be pinged to keep us up to date on who is who and what they may possibly be guilty of, as well as any tax problems the upcoming event may drag the Clintons into! We will enlist the expert techniques of kristinn and Angelwood and ironman to advice and information on the facilities and their "insider" information. We will be depending on hole_n_one and Luis Gonzalez for "screen shots."

There will be PLENTY of work for everybody to do! And we are depending on you for any items you hear, or any suggestions you may have.

If you have ping lists, use them, please!

DISCLAIMER and/or WARNING: Malcontents and disruptors will be suitably trashed.

LOL! The invitation should come with a pepto pink warning pack of stomach medicine..

A White House wedding in '05 for the VP/Queen- that is truly something to motivate everyone the next two years.

I nominate ChrisM. (version 4.0) as maid of honor, as there is no approved position in the wedding party for "stalker of the bride."

One clarification - I don't think the invitation will say "Mr. and Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton." I think it will say "William Jefferson Clinton and Hillary! Rodham Clinton . . . " The 'beast would never allow herself to be overlooked as Mrs. W. J. Clinton. No, Never.

And I don't think Hillary! will be the Veep in '04. I think she's running for the whole enchilada in '04. Even if she can't get the nomination, she's running. Yep. She's running.

I believe you are correct; Miss Marple has posted the way it is SUPPOSE to be; but we know they have never done anything like it is suppose to be; just something else to mock them about.

I'll bet good money it says "Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton."

I wonder when the wedding will be? Sometime close to "announcement" day? How will Hillary EVER handle "Mother of the Bride" and "presidental candidate" at the same time? :-)

Liebmann jams Gloria S. and blubba

A bit lengthy for many, but worth it for the Guild.

presumably in a bid by Ms. Steinem to see if she could get The Guinness Book of Irony to burst into flames

Oh, that IS good. He sounds like HE could be a Freeper!

Did you watch 60 Minutes tonights? Lesley Stahl talks to some women who bougt the "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicyle" and now they are all alone, and childless, and wish they weren't.

Oh Oh, looks like Matthew Broderick and wife Sarah Jessica Parker have had too much "Sex and the City".

Sarah is pregnant....and due in the fall.

That means she'll be 'showing' when her HBO series goes into production this summer. Oops! Now how are they going to write that into the script?

Parker, 37, and Broderick, 40, will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary in May.

Prolly IS a freeper - great, great wordsmith. I truly do get my news from FR - unless alerted to live Administration speeches.

I'm glad you enjoyed the read, and a premature Happy Birthday! JL

Hillary! will handle it with the same aplomb (BARF) she does everything else - she'll dump it on her "people" and they'll do all the work for both her campaign and little Hubbel's wedding.

The wedding is only happening because they know "Little Mugly" is getting kicked out of Oxford for sleeping around in so many places other than Oxford, England - like the Dominican Republic (did they spend any time with the frightfully poor citizens like good Dims would do? NO), Venice, Milano, Paris, London, etc. rather than being IN SCHOOL studying.
