It was bad, but it could have been worse and, as always, there are lessons we can take from it.
n 2022, Republicans thought there would be a Red Tsunami. In fact, there was a Red piddle that didn’t even rise to the level of a puddle.
But yesterday, Democrats got that Tsunami. They flipped both the Senate and the House and did so massively. According to The New York Times, Democrats currently have 54-44 control of the Senate and 228-139 control of the House. Both numbers could improve for Democrats in the next days and hours. That’s not a tiny victory; that’s huge.
Some of the Democrat victories were more significant than others. Michiganders, by a large margin, voted for Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, a man who advocates for socialism, but whose values (and friends and family) align with the Muslim Brotherhood. His presence in the United States Senate is an almost apocalyptic sign of what’s to come for America.
Meanwhile, in the “red wall” of Texas, James Talarico won, cementing transgenderism and smiley-faced socialism as Texas values. Additionally, Texas now has a Democrat governor, Gina Hinojosa.
In South Carolina, the uninspiring Darline Graham lost her brother’s seat to Annie Andrews, while South Carolina’s first district (which is purple) sent a hard leftist, Nancy Lacore, to the House.
So far, the real Dan Sullivan is still winning Alaska, but it’s by a very small margin.
Other unexpected blue victories: Iowa now has a Democrat Senator, as does Kansas. The semi-incestuous Troy Jackson ousted long-time Senator Susan Collins in Maine. Sherrod Brown is now the Senator for Ohio. And of course, the usual blue states are still blue. In other words, the blue wall held, and the red wall crumbled.
What does this all mean? I have thoughts

Dims don’t have enough to override a veto. It is not like they were going to pass the SAVE act anyway.
At least now it’s okay to goof on Texans.
9/11 2, the sequel. The Muzzies and America haters won.
Have at it. We deserve it. Only three things come from Texas. Steers, Queers and Dopey Opie Terrorfreakos. We’re all pedophiles now.

Yeah it could have been worse..
AOC could have been running...
Agree it turns out they didn’t win anything but veto results and that’s a good thing.
She will be in less than two years.
the long term effects are that there are now a bunch of Democrat senators in states that usually elect Republicans. SC TX KS IA
It will take 6 years to remove them.
In 1980 the GOP did the same thing and as a result they held control of the Senate for six years. Expect the Dems to control it until the 2032 election.
Several key red state governorships will be held for the next 4 years as well.
Hate and ignorance won last night.
The truth is this change is not as overwhelming as people think.
The GOP did not have true control of legislation because of the filibuster. Trump was governing primarily by executive order, as most presidents have been doing for decades now. No real change.
As the election results continued unfolding, Democrats and DSA candidates took control of the House and the Senate. With the outcome still being tabulated, around midnight President Trump gave a lengthy interview to Brett Baeir and Fox News.
In the aggregate the MAGA movement, like the Tea Party that preceded it, was neither Democrat nor Republican. A person only needed to look at the issue(s) of borders, immigration, illegal aliens, H1B’s etc., to notice the outcome was the same with the D or R. The same was true for American jobs and the insufferable march to a ‘service driven economy.’ The movement that supports Donald Trump was never Democrat or Republican; it was/is a coalition of historically unrepresented voters, essentially a third party.
Trump’s supporters represent a third party in a two-party system. This was always problematic. Professional Democrats, leftists writ large, hate Donald Trump. The Professionally Republican also dislike him immensely.
Democrats and Republicans then pounced on every subset of special interest within the coalition to emphasize friction and division. The dividers blamed Israel and the Iran conflict for every negative outcome in everything, some valid – most not. That was enough to maintain the instability while dividers drumbeat the issue of (put _ your _ topic _ here).
“It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. Because the innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new.”
From my view; from my very personal view; from the perspective of a root cause; when you peel all the skin away from the onion and evaluate the problem from the central core, the underlying point where the atom splits, the problem is Susie Wiles.
Bad advice and counsel as a matter of elevated, aloof incompetence; or is it purposeful, controlling intent?
Given the fact that we can track the ‘disconnect‘ to the transition period and earlier, and overlaying the Vanity Fair nonsense that was ego-driven and right in the middle, I lean toward the latter.
Regardless of incompetence or intent, there’s a pattern of bad advice and counsel.
Donald Trump’s loyalty and grace is both a virtue and a vice.

There is only one thing you need to know about yesterday’s liberal erection.
You can vote your way into Communism but you’re going to have to shoot your way out.
P.S. The Iranians would lIKE to thank the new foreign American voters. IRAN WON!!!
Me, I think us losing was a good sign. We got rid of the RINOs and now we can see why Ohio, Texas, Kansas and Iowa failed?, Trumpism might be dead, but American First is alive...
Agree. Voters did not seem concerned about all of the fraud.
Voters did not seem to care about the crime caused by illegal immigrants.
Voters did not seem to understand that most of the price increases due to inflation came under Joe Biden.
Voters did not seem to punish democRATs for supporting the war in Ukraine.
Susan Collins had it coming.
I’ve always tried to explain the history, and why Democrats are just bad for our future. But now, at my age, I just don’t have the time or patience anymore. I adopted a new philosophy in life. That is, if you put people in power that make my life harder, don’t come to me asking for something that will make your life easier. In my mostly red community, these people stick out like sore thumbs. This year, I started calling them and their politics out every chance I get. I never get dirty looks from anyone else in the room. I just became more vocal and said the things they were all thinking anyway.
