Less seasonal demand for oil right now...no real cold weather yet, summer driving season over. Also more supply from places like Venezuela.

There is no reason for them to get that high to begin with. It’s a scam to make money and the governments of each state and feds make bank on it.

I’ve noticed this in California (of all places).

My local gas station has dropped from $6.14/gallon to (yesterday) $5.79/gallon.

Came back to where it was a couple of weeks ago. hooray? meanwhile it’s still well above where it had been but let’s celebrate the fact that it’s still $95.80 a barrel for WTI.

WTI crude averaged $60 in January 2026.

I'm not sure what this news is supposed to mean.

After the Iran situation is all mopped up, prices for WTI will tumble quickly to $70/bbl, if not lower. The enemies of America have kept the price artificially high for months, in the hopes it will help the Democrats in the midterms.

Even if the Iran war is over tomorrow, the price of oil will not drop because you’re still going to have 20 to 25% a world Oil still off-line.

It could be two or three years or longer before normalcy comes back to the petroleum and petrol chemical markets. You see it it’s not just Oil. It’s all the other things that come out of the Middle East like fertilizer, helium, all sorts of other byproducts that are now in short supply.

Next planning season worldwide, you’re going to see a famine because of a lack of fertilizer being available.

A great deal of critical oil and Petro chemical infrastructure has been damaged in the Middle East countries, and that will take a long time to rebuild. Saudi Arabia has been handed a potential defeat by the Houthis and the house of Saud may fall in the very near future.

So nothing is going to change because there’s too much chaos going on.

Yeah, like weather, it bounces around for no apparent reason.

But, those with an axe to grind will look at it like it was tea leaves inna cup and make up a reason.

I just drove past a city on the highway that had $3.26 a gallon, and is Top Tier Gas.

As I drive for work, I am seeing prices coming down, from what I’ve been seeing.
