DOJ Flagged 300,000 Possible Non-Citizen Voters
Front Page Magazine ^ | 1 Nov. 2026 | Daniel Greenfield

“I’ve seen at least 15 cases of voter registration that resulted in actual voting by non-U.S. citizens in the last two weeks alone".

We’re seeing this now play out in California and Washington where secretaries of state insist that there are no non-citizens registered to vote, then admit that they have no ability to check the citizenship of whoever is voting, but insist that there’s no reason to believe that there are non-citizens voting because it’s illegal for non-citizens to vote… and so they don’t have to worry about non-citizens voting.

However, according to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, there are some 300,000 possible non-citizens who have been flagged on voting rolls.

Rather than straight up denying it, states like Washington and California have taken to slow walking the review of the names, arguing that they have no ability to check citizenship (because again, they choose not to have any ability to check citizenship and refuse to use the SAVE system) and pointing out that some percentage of the flagged names were born in the United States or aren’t on current voting rolls. This is as good as an admission that a bunch of the flagged names are non-citizens who are on voting rolls and they don’t want to remove them.

How big is the problem? I’m going to guess that 300,000 is only the tip of the iceberg. If you doubt that, consider the high standards over in Washington.

Appearing at an event with Gov. Bob Ferguson Friday morning, Thurston County Auditor Mary Hall said she has never seen a case of a noncitizen voting in an election in her 30-year career.

“We keep very tight records in our voter registration database,” Hall said. “We are a vote ID state, and the voters do attest to the fact they are a citizen of the United States.”

Attest. They attest. And no one checks.

The DOJ asked Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs to sequester the ballots from the 405 voters and investigate whether they are ineligible to vote. Hobbs denied the request, calling the DOJ’s demand a “dumpster fire disguised as a legal document.”

In an interview with KOMO News on Thursday, Hobbs reiterated that cases of noncitizens voting in Washington are rare, but he acknowledged the state does not require proof of citizenship to register to vote and the state does not check voter rolls for citizenship.

“We don’t have a system that can identify whether someone is an actual noncitizen,” Hobbs said. “That’s why when someone goes to get their registration done at a Department of Licensing (DOL) office, they are asked if they are a noncitizen.”

That automatic registration is where immigration attorney Len Saunders says he sees immigrants run into trouble.

“I’ve seen at least 15 cases of voter registration that resulted in actual voting by non-U.S. citizens in the last two weeks alone,” Saunders said.

Saunders, who practices immigration law in the border town of Blaine, said many of the clients he has seen mistakenly register to vote were signed up while obtaining a driver’s license.

“That’s the problem here,” Saunders said. “Most of these people don’t realize they’ve broken the law until they’re actually told by the federal government.”

Saunders believes requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote would protect immigrants from being inadvertently signed up.

That would help non-citizens avoid prosecution, but hurt the ruling part fighting tooth and nail to keep non-citizens voting while denying that’s happening.

I’ve been doing some driving since 6 this morning. My tired eyes looked at the headline and thought it said “DOJ Flogged 300,000 Possible Non-Citizen Voters”.

That’s where we currently are, but I bet we’re VERY close to “Yes they’re voting, and it’s a good thing!”.

Or, as CNN would say, not enough to sway an election.

“They choose not to have any ability to check citizenship”

Blame HAVA/FEC/EAC. In response to the Hanging Chad of 2020 FOD Friends of Dodd wrote the HAVA Help America Vote Act. HAVA gives state and local election officials FREE MONEY to create new, computerized voter registration and vote casting and counting systems. HAVA/FEC/EAC FREE MONEY is sought by state and local officials who do not want to beg the state legislature for money.

It is Federal money that pays for MOTOR VOTER that registers people to vote when they apply for a drivers license or state ID. That software is written such that both the state worker and applicant have to go out of their way to find and check the box that they are not citizens... or they are felons or others not qualified to vote in that state.

Age is asked and known. But teens 16-17 are registered thanks to the design of the software.

In general, government software, both federal, state and local is of much less quality than that of Fortune 100 companies.

Both MAGA and non-MAGA repeatedly ignore why we have the mess that we have. In 2013 GA Secretary of State Kemp did not want to beg the legislature for money as he would then owe those legislators an IOU to be collected later and impact his ambitions to be governor. So KEMP took FREE MONEY from HAVA... from FOD Friends of CT Sen Chris Dodd. What could go wrong with FREE MONEY? The CT FOD wanted to make money. They had high expenses due to all the campaign contributions they were required to make. So CT FOD Friends of Dodd outsourced the development of Voter software to India with just 2 H1b types to shuttle back and forth between India, CT and GA.

Recently Trump dismissed the board at the head of HAVA/EAC. But last I checked the staff still implements their own enlightened view of what should be done.

Now you know the true intent of “motor voter” schemes.

In California, there is no way to avoid registering to vote, legal citizen or not, with their DMV in house computer when one does any type of drivers license transaction.

Thank you for referencing that article MtnClimber.

The DOJ asked Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs to sequester the ballots from the 405 voters and investigate whether they are ineligible to vote. Hobbs denied the request, calling the DOJ’s demand a “dumpster fire disguised as a legal document [???; emphasis added].”

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Mr. Hobbs seems to be ignoring that this issue might actually be a constitutional fire, a possible violation of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (14A), Hobbs possibly deserving to be removed from office under Section 3 of that amendment if such is the case. (Consider that Sections 2 and 3 were possibly deliberately grouped together by that amendment's drafters.)

In fact, note the zero tolerance "hair triggers" in Section 2 that the Supremes, Mr. Pence and the J6 Congress wrongly ignored (imo) when lawmakers voted to accept Biden's electoral votes in 2020 despite allegations of vote-counting problems.

In this troubled world, it's entirely up to G+d-fearing patriot voters to effectively "Section 3" corrupt state and federal lawmakers and executives up for reelection by voting them out of office in this midterm election year.

That being said, Trump's red tsunami of Democratic and Republican supporters, evidenced by his third win in 2024 elections, need to help preserve his legacy by likewise giving Republicans a record-breaking win in the midterm elections.

LOL. On the other hand they’ll claim if only 18,000 votes flipped in 2024 Harris would have won.

I’ll bet, even in CA, there is some feature in the DMV software that asks for citizenship. But it probably takes a lot of video game playing skill to find out where it is hid.
