Dr. Jay Smith examines **external polemics**—the practice of evaluating the claims and history of Islam through evidence outside of Islamic tradition, including archaeology, ancient manuscripts, and historical records.
In this teaching, Dr. Smith explores some of the *historical challenges facing Islam* in light of modern discoveries in manuscript studies and archaeology. He examines questions surrounding the transmission and development of Islamic texts, manuscript variations and inconsistencies, and the archaeological evidence connected to the traditional account of Islam’s origins.
As modern scholarship continues to uncover and study ancient manuscripts and archaeological sites, what do these discoveries reveal about the early history of Islam? How does the traditional Islamic narrative compare with the available historical evidence? And what questions should Christians be asking when examining the foundations of the Islamic faith?
Dr. Smith unpacks these issues from a Christian apologetics perspective, equipping believers with a framework for engaging Muslims through *external polemics* and examining the historical evidence surrounding Islam.
Whether you are interested in Christian apologetics, Islamic history, archaeology, manuscript studies, or defending the Christian faith, this teaching will help you better understand the historical questions surrounding Islam and how Christians can thoughtfully engage them.

Islam is not driven by ideas. It is driven by envy, intellectual laziness, and fear.
IMHO, Islam was ordained in Genesis 16:10-13.
When this fellow gets to the end, he points out that much of what’s in the Koran is a bastardization of Christianity. Just fascinating documentation...
islam is a cancer on the planet.

Why would a story of this nature—textual varients in the Koran, etc., first appear on YOUTUBE—the sleaziest money hog, home of the “internet influencer”.
I am skeptical.
...hate...

Book/Audiobook on same topic.
Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories. Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money. He was a terrorist. And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence.
Critics of Prophet of Doom claim it is offensive, hatemongering, and unnecessarily violent. We agree - but we didn't write those parts. They came directly from Islam's scriptures. Over the course of these pages, we quote from almost every surah in the Qur'an - many are presented in their entirety. But more than that, we put each verse in the context of Muhammad's life, quoting vociferously from Islam's most trusted sources.
About the only thing that is going to change Islam is either a massive flood of the planet, or an implosion of the Earth. Man is no longer capable of addressing the cancers that roam the planet. Heck, we can’t even deal with the DEMs and the RINOs.
I agree 100%.
Ishmael was to be violent, oversexed, and screwing the women to the point that everybody would share his features (panim).
Islam has progressed from the Middle East, through North Africa, Spain into Europe and from Turkey, to the Americas, and east through Central Asia to Indonesia and now into Australia.
It worked for me. I even downloaded a PDF with archive downloader.
And it’s driven by sexual depravity.

My idea of "thoughtfully engaging" Islam ...
If Abraham and Sarah would’ve listened to God, Ishmael wouldn’t have been a gleam in his daddies’ eye. It’s messed up that Sarah gave Hagar unto Abraham then pitched her out after Isaacs’ birth. Yet, here we are.... thousands of years later.... dealing with the results of that union and subsequent exile.... on a global scale.
In a way, it’s simply amazing that the mistakes of long ago have consequences that are still being felt by modern society and appears it will continue until the Second Coming has transpired.
A perpetual inferiority complex.
