Has anyone besides myself wondered what qualifies for Front Page news nowadays?
Apparently nothing has happened in the country, or the world in the last 30 days that warrants that status.
And Breaking news is similar. The Sunday Morning Talk Show thread dominates with 6 of the top 9 subjects.
Anyone know what's going on with this?

Agreed. Breaking News was once routinely abused.
Now I think FR hurts itself for its lack diminishing its value, particularely to newbies and therefore potential contributors.
The sidebars have been useless for years now. If ever the Robinsons want to bring this site into the 21st-century, the sidebars are one of the first things that need to be addressed.
Only old Sunday Morning talk show threads qualify for Breaking News, as well.
Did Sidebar Moderator quit?
Twice this month I posted articles in Frontpage, once about Starlink being degraded for Ukraine and another concerning Z’s open defiance of POTUS.
Both easily front page worthy.
And both demoted within minutes.

In the age of the Internet, so much gets blasted constantly the bar for “breaking news” has changed.
It was just in 2012 that Romney saying “binders full of women” was enough to grab the headlines for a solid week. Biden was a malapropism or a “What the hell?” moment every other day when he was actually on camera, and Trump just says things for trolling or thinking out loud that makes Romney’s phrasing look quaint.
So, outlets either make everything into breaking news, or next to nothing, as we are collectively inured. The real breaking news... Trump bombs Iran, Hamas launches massive terror attack on Israel ... Fed raises Interest rates...Court cancels Trump’s H1B reforms... THOSE are breaking news, but they get lost in the hodgepodge.
They get posted to breaking news but the admins demote them.
I’m waiting for Breaking News to house news of large scale mass-awakenings of ZEEPERS as they collectively and near simultaneously realized that they’ve fallen for old-school EU/GLOBALIST/USAID pro-Zielensky propaganda. I expect to never see that “bombshell”.

It could be my imagination, but it seems like the number of responses are down. I remember discussions garnering hundreds of responses. These days threads peter out after about 75 or so comments. And a lot of the familiar posters don’t show up anymore.
FR has hit its ceiling, I fear.
I never used that sidebar of categories in the nearly 25 years I have been here.
Anymore, people be posting a bunch of youtube or x vids here just make it better to go there instead.
My typical visit is just for latest posts and a few refreshes and then I’m off to have a life.
Have you asked the Admin Moderator for an explanation?
