DNA connects serial killer Ted Bundy to the death of a Utah teenager, authorities announced Tuesday, more than 50 years after her body was discovered by a hunter.
Bundy has been dead since 1989, but the tally of his confirmed victims continues to grow due to advances in DNA testing. He killed at least 30 women and girls in multiple states in the 1970s, and many more escaped or survived with injuries.

Hopefully this is closure for someone who loved her. I wish someone he had targeted had taken his head off with a large caliber weapon.

I have followed this for years and read a ton of material on Bundy. What amazed me was how disconnected law enforcement was in the 1970s. The story of his escape from state prison in Colorado, trip to Stapleton Airport, purchasing a ticket with cash and no ID, flight to O’Hare, visit to Ann Arbor, bus to Atlanta, then FL, and the final mayhem he committed there is just astonishing; then you think of how many places that path would be interrupted in the modern world, with modern communications.
Florida finally took care of business on that sick bastard. Thank God.
Some people don’t believe in the death penalty, but Ted Bundy deserved it 100%, IMHO.

I once worked with a lady who was in Ted Bundy’s car. How she escaped I forget. It was in Salt Lake City.
You would think if murders from that time remained unsolved, they would open up the cases and test them for DNA that might remain, especially if the unsolved murders involved women.
Yeah, it’s precisely because of guys like Bundy everything is much more “connected”; plane hijackings and the rest of it made convenient air travel a distant memory.
According to liberals, the death penalty for Bundy would be inhumane and very harsh. His girl fans would be heartbroken. He’s even more handsome than Luigi Mangione. (Passt! Don’t tell the girls that Bundy is already dead)
